The blaring sound of a phone ringing makes her huff annoyed as she turned down the radio and reached for the phone sitting on the passenger seat glancing down to the screen making her brown eyes roll in annoyance.

"What?" Raina harshly spoke, a venom to her voice that had the person on the other end hesitating which she didn't like and hung up. A minute later the same name took over her phone's screen and this time she said nothing upon answering the call.

"How quickly can you get to Mystic Falls?" The person, John Gilbert, finally spoke and the girl could hear his desperation for her help.

"Is this another attempt of you asking for my help? I told you the last time, John. You can not-"

"Its Elena" his words cut her off swiftly "I'll explain everything, but only once you get here" Raina's jaw ticked, her jaw becoming tensed so hard it was a miracle her teeth didn't break.

"Tell me now, John" she ordered firmly, her hand on the steering wheel tightening until her knuckles turn white. John sighs heavily.

"The original vampires have found Elena"

"I'm on my way. Tell no one I'm coming" she hung up the call and released a breath through her nose.

Ever since becoming a member of the secret founder's council, Raina had spent more time in the Salvatore Boarding House with Zach Salvatore who had fought for Raina's childhood to be left alone, he was the only member of the council who didn't agree to Raina becoming a member of the council, much less agree to help train her to become a vampire hunter.

Those days and nights she spent in the Salvatore house became her most fond memories of the small town as Zach had given her a bedroom, decorated it and offered her a chance to be a normal kid as she was only seven years old when she learnt about the supernatural world, ten when she discovered her own connections to said world.

Those memories are the first to come to mind whilst passing the Mystic Falls welcome sign so Raina drove straight to the Salvatore house which felt different even from inside her car that slowly rolled up the driveway to a stop before the covered entrance. Grabbing her phone she climbed out her sleek black car and closed the door gently before going to the boot and collecting her large black duffle bag, once she was sure her car was locked Raina approached the front door and for once she rang the door bell instead of letting herself inside like she had always done.
