I got up and walked out of the room.

"I'll come wake you up in a bit."

A few years later, we were still together. I proposed a few weeks after graduation. We live in our own house.

"Deany!"

I felt Calista jump onto my back.

"AH! Hi Lisa!"

"Hi! I love you!"

"I love you too. You're hyper today."

"Of course! Tomorrow's the day! D-did you forget?"

I spun around.

"Of course not. How could I?"

"I love the rings we picked out."

"Me too. Yours definitely goes with your engagement ring."

She kissed me.

"You're gonna love my dress."

She called it. She was right. I started crying.

I wasn't expecting to actually cry..

Her dress is like an actual princess dress.

She seemed more excited than me. She was bouncing off the walls that night.

"I can't wait for Disney! I'm making you get a fuckin Mickey Mouse ear hat. You're not getting outta it. Oh! Oh! We're getting those celebrations pins."

"Disney does seem like the perfect thing since...you looked like an actual princess today."

Her face got red.

"I made you cry. I knew that'd happen."

"Okay. Okay. You got me on that one. You uh...have glitter on your face."

"Shit! I thought, I got it all!"

She ran to the bathroom and started scrubbing her face.

"AHHHH! It won't come off!"

I walked into the bathroom.

"Come on you little shit!"

I laughed.

"Okay stop. You're gonna hurt your skin. Look at me. Maybe, I can get it."

She turned around and looked at me. I ran my hand underwater. I started trying to get the glitter off.

"That's cold."

"Would you like the water to burn your skin or would you prefer to freeze?"

"Jackass."

"Okay this clearly isn't working."

"Well...it's gonna have to pay me rent."

"I doubt it'll be there for long."

"Oh! Oh! Can we go do something tomorrow?"

"I dunno."

"I mean...we can go somewhere. Ah! Do you wanna go to the zoo? Is this what you're telling me?"
