{Charlie's POV}

The tv was blasting its brightness upon me and Nick's face. Nick was heavily invested in the show; however, I was lost in a pair of brown, coffee like eyes. His lashes fluttering everytime he closes them and reopening them. I couldn't help but feel my face heat up as Nick had wrapped his arm around me, pulling me in a close embrace. I still couldn't get over the fact that the Nick Nelson, a rugby player dating me, a person who overthinks and is messed up in the head. Nonetheless, it warmed my heart knowing that Nick is still here with me and actually chose to stay by my side, through thick and thin. My heart flutters more as I snuggled more into my golden retriever. I heard a soft chuckle above me.

"You alright, Charles?" Nick asked, making me snort.

"Charles? What kind of nickmane is that?" I questioned. Nick let out a soft giggle, feeling his body shrug in the process.

"I'm not sure. First thing that came to mind, I suppose." He spoke, rubbing his eyes as he turned off the television. We sat in a comfortable silence for a few minutes before Nick recoiled his arm back, leaving my shoulder to feel lonely.

I moved away from my comfortable boyfriend and looked at him. He was looking out the window, checking out the darkness that were outside. He was clearly thinking about something. He turned his head towards me, making eye contact.

"How would you feel about taking a late night stroll? It seems quite peaceful." I bit the inside of my cheek, thinking. I know my body is telling me to sleep, but my mind was saying otherwise. I smiled.

"Of course! I would love to." Nick smiled ear to ear, before going back to a neutral look.

"Are you sure? I don't wanna make you if you're tired, or such."

"If I start getting tired, I promise I'll tell you." Nick still seem reluctant, but nodded his head in agreement. He got up from the couch, then held his hand out towards me-which I glady took in a heartbeat-and he lifted me off of the couch, then gave me a small peck on my forehead. I felt my face heat up a little more.

We both put on our shoes, coat, and scarves before leaving the house. Once we were out of the house, I took out my house key and made sure to look the door, so then no one would break in. Even though there still is a high possibility, which is something that scares me a little, but it's better to be safe than sorry I suppose. I looked over to see Nick waiting for me on the sidewalk. I quickly made my way over to him, and he held out his hand for me. God-I love holding his hand. I happily took his hand, intertwining out fingers into a tight, yet reassuring hold. I looked towards him and could faintly see a small blush across his face.

We both started to walk, hand in hand, with the night sky looming above us. I looked up at the nights gaze. It's dark, navy blue that had accessories with stars that helped let the sky have a little more light to help balance out the darkness. It was a full moon, and it is shining brighter than the small stars plastered across the night. I turned my attention back to the path forward. We talked about small nonsense such as Nick talking about the rugby team-which just reminded me of how I joined-and how he wish he could take a break from it. I just listened to him ramble as I taking in the surroundings.

"Maybe we should go bowling again? Like your birthday that one year." Nick mentioned.

"Last time was kinda rough. Remember with Tao and such? He was kinda being rude, and didn't he tell that he didn't trust you?" Nick sighed.

"I do, but that was back then. Personally, I understand where he was coming from, but that's all behind us now. Also, it would be nice to hangout with everyone again." Nick commented.

"Oh! Maybe we could invite Darcy and Tara too?" Nick smiled.

"I think that would be a great idea, Love." I blushed at the nickname, turning my head away to hide it. Although, Nick had already saw my reaction.

"You like it when I call you love? Hm?" He poked me. I couldn't help but giggle.

"Maybe I do. . .Nelly~." I chuckled as the blonde bloke just sighed, stopping in his tracks.

"Nelly? Bloody Nelly of all things? You know, that's my dog's name, right?" The blonde asked, only making me grin a little. I kept walking, embarrassed by the fact I called him his dog's name, but the I was be pulled in a tight embrace. Nick had bear hugged me as he gave small kisses on my face, which in turn caused to laugh. I escaped his embrace and pushed him a little, which he returned the favor. We laughed as the playful banter had come quickly to an end.

I wrapped my arm around Nick's, walking together side by side. I felt the blonde bloke rest his head peacefully on top of mine. My face was dusted with color once more and it's all thanks to Nick Nelson, my boyfriend. Gah-it still makes my mind and heart melt just mentioning he is mine.

"How did I get so lucky to have someone like you?" I asked aloud.

"I don't know, you tell me." My eyes widen as I looked over towards Nelly. He had a smirk plastered across his face, slightly making out that he was blushing. This caused me pull my scarf over my face out of embarrassment. I couldn't believe I had said that out loud rather than in my thoughts! I groaned as I felt a hand wrapped around my shoulder and pulling me close. I pulled down my scarf and looked at Nick. He was wearing a warm smile and gave me a quick peck on the lips. I leaned more into him.

"You wanna head back and sleep? My dogs are barking." Nick groaned. I nodded my head in agreement. With a mutual agreement, we both headed back to my place. As we were walking, I realized that no matter how much I overthink or act silly, I know that Nick would still be with me and join in on the silly conversations. Who knew we would go from not knowing each other, to being teammates, to being friends that we would end up here. I trust Nick with my life and I know he would always be there in my lower moments, and hopefully he feels the same way.

Once we reached the my house, I unlocked the door and offered Nick to go in first. He gladly did, soon following behind him locking the door. We each started to take off the article of clothings we didn't need, then headed to my room. Once we go into my space, I head over to my closet to find a t-shirt that would around Nelly's size as I heard my bed squeak. It took me a few minutes to find a decent shirt that would fit Nick as I also got a shirt for myself. I went over to my boyfriend and handed him the shirt, which he gladly accepted. I placed my shirt down then headed to my dresser and pulled out two pairs of pants; one for me and one for Nicky. I handed Nick the pants and quickly grabbed my shirt then went to the bathroom. I still didn't feel comfortable enough to change in front of him, since I still don't feel comfortable in my own skin.

~time skip~

After a few minutes of getting into my pajamas and brushing my teeth, I went back to my bedroom and saw Nick was on his phone as he sat on the floor. I smiled and sat beside him, looking over his shoulder. He had texted the group if they wanted to go bowling soon-to which they had agreed to.

"You ready to sleep, Nicky?" I asked. Nick turned off his phone and ruffled my hair, cleary too tired to question my nickname for him. He kissed my cheek and climbed in my bed, waiting to cuddle me. I smiled warmly and got myself situated in my bed. I pulled the covers over me and Nick-who quickly pulled me in close-and spooned me, resting his face on my head.

"I love you, sweetheart.." I heard Nick mumble.

"I love you too, Nelly." With those final words, I had slowly fallen into a deep slumber.
