Akuma sat by the bed, his hand in Iida's. It was too familiar. Ichi hesitated before she walked in, holding onto the doorframe as she met Akuma's tired eyes.

"Have you found him?"

Ichi shook her head. "No. He's gone."

"No, I'll bring him back." Akuma went to speak when Todoroki rushed forward, covering his mouth.

"You can't. If you summon him back, the world will splinter, and everything will be for not." Todoroki hesitated before he gave Akuma a small piece of paper. Despite hell being closed, Todoroki's demonic features didn't go away, and the black dye stayed firmly attached to his skin.

Akuma hesitated as he opened the letter. He knew that handwriting after years of reading Izuku's hero notes. Messy and scribbled but somehow neat and with not a single spelling mistake. Typical Izuku.

'Dear Kuchan,

I'm sorry. If you're reading this, I'm not with you. My father got his way, and I'm gone. Don't try to summon me. Whatever's stopping you is worth more than my company. I owe you an explanation to do with Iida.

When he fought Stein, he died. I brought him back. You might already know this, but what you don't know- what he doesn't know- is I made him immortal. If he was immortal, I hoped you would agree to be immortal too, and then you couldn't die, and I wouldn't have to go home.

I couldn't go home knowing what my father wanted from me. Please look after yourself. Be kind to everyone and stay the amazing hero I know you are.

Your familiar,

Izuku Midoriya.'

At the bottom, a few lines were written, much messier than the rest and in a faded red. He must have written it on the battlefield.

'P.S. The spell you used to close the portal took Iida's immortality. Sorry for not telling you he wouldn't die, but I know you would figure out what closing it meant for me if you didn't have his loss on your mind.'

Akuma held the letter as he cried, losing the person he thought he could never lose. Iida woke, barely able to raise his arm with the drain on his energy, but he squeezed his fingers to tell Akuma he was right there.

~~~
Todoroki walked into UA, still looking demonic. Katsuki waved to him shyly, hiding his pure black eyes behind the shades that UA had allowed him to wear. "Did you do it?"
Todoroki nodded, taking a seat beside Katsuki. "From this day, none of my siblings or I can access our demon powers or open portals. And we blocked our dad from doing summonings."
"Guess it didn't take away the new features, though."
Todoroki shook his head, looking at his hands. "Demonic features aren't a demonic power. They always exist. The demonic power is being able to hide them."
"I don't think they're that demonic." Katsuki punched Todoroki's arm as Todoroki stole his glasses.
"And neither are your eyes."
~~~

Akuma walked slowly to class, clinging to Iida as he did. Ichi sat quietly at the side, listening to Jiro and Yayorozu talk. She hadn't been the same. She had a hole in her heart just like Akuma.

Iida led Akuma to his seat, sitting next to Todoroki and Katsuki. They didn't say much, but they acknowledged that they were still here and it was over. Even if they were grieving and somewhere, a city over, a green-haired lady had lost her child again.

~~~
Shigarki snarled as he paced back and forth in the hideout.
"Calm down, Shiggy. We'll figure out something else." Toga rolled her eyes, kicking her legs from under her.
"They put All For One in hell, and the only people who could get him back have blocked their powers. How can I calm down?!"
Snickering to himself, Dabi leaned forward. "Well, not everyone. Time I let you in on a little secret of mine." His eyes shined in the light.
The turquoise eyes of a half-demon, the eyes of a Todoroki.
The End.
