Chapter 45

Sadie

I was pampering Luke who was curled up on my chest but they called him. He put the call on loudspeaker and I heard Maddie's horrible voice. She was insulting me and making it clear that she wants something with Luke, I had had enough so I answered.

-So that stupid is your girlfriend? -I took the phone from Luke's hands and answered-

-Yes, bitch, I'm his girlfriend and we're busy. So stop looking for my boyfriend or you'll have problems with me. -I said and hung up, I was upset.-

-Wow -Luke said surprised.-

-What? - I said-

-I've never heard that you insult someone -he answered- but she deserved it.

-Mmmm. -I agreed-

-So my girlfriend? -he asked and I got nervous, I didn't doubt that I was like a tomato right now-

-E-eh I-I -I said but she interrupted me-

-Relax, I'm kidding -he said and leaned back again- although I wish you were -he whispered.-

-What? -I asked for-

-Oh? -he said shaking her head to look at me.-

-What did you say?

-Oh no, nothing -he said.-

-Honey you know you can tell me anything, right? -I said and lifted his head to meet his eyes.-

-Yes, it's just that...-he was silent and turned his eyes-

-What's happening? -I said putting one of my hands on his cheek to which he reacted by closing his eyes and resting his head a little on my hand-

-I know you like me and I like you, but -he sighed- I feel like I'm not enough. I think you deserve someone better than me. -He said on the verge of tears.-

-Babe -I said surprised, he had taken me by surprise, I had never seen him like this. He almost never showed himself vulnerable- you are enough, God! You're more than that. -I said wiping away some tears that fell down his cheeks- You are the best thing that has happened to me and there are no words to describe how much I love you and how beautiful and great you are. You are the best thing that could cross my path -I said and kissed him. I wanted to let him know how much I love him and how important he is to me- Don't say that again, okay? -I said joining our foreheads.-

-Okay -he said and I kissed his forehead. He leaned back again, hugged me and clung to me- I feel safe with you.

-I'm with you, you are.

-I know -he said- and I like it.

Luke

I had opened up to Sadie, I told her how I felt, I had never done it but it felt good after doing it. I feel happy being with her, I feel safe in her arms. Sadie has become my safe place, she makes me feel very good, being in her arms I feel like I am a child again who feels good and safe when I am with her.

After that conversation with Sadie we huddled together to continue watching the movie, Sadie stopped pampering me so I complained.

-What's up prince? -She asked, without answering I took one of her hands and put it on my head- Ohh I'm sorry. -she laughed and began to make me a louse again. After a while I fell asleep.-

Sadie

For the first time in a long time Luke had opened up to me. He for the first time he showed himself vulnerable in front of me. At that moment I felt that he was a child that I must take care of and I will, for this reason I feel closer to him. We kept watching the movie, he was still lying on my chest clinging to my waist while I pamper him and after a while I turned to see him and he was asleep, I laughed and settled down to lie down hugging him. After a while I also fell asleep. When I woke up I was still in the room but Luke was nowhere to be found, I got up and went to the room but something stopped me on the way. I peeked a little at the door of Luke's room, he was talking to someone I couldn't understand what they were saying since I fell and Luke noticed so he hung up and came over.

-Sadie? Are you ok? -I wonder as he helped me up- What were you doing there?

-I'm fine, I was looking for you -I answered.-

-You just woke up?

-Yes, I couldn't find you and I was looking for you, but apparently I'm still very sleepy. -I said and laughed-

-So it seems, do you want to order something for dinner?

-Okay, but what about your parents?

-Don't worry, they just called me, they'll be late.

-Ok, can we ask for Italian? -I said and pouted.-

-Sure, I'll call now.

Luke called our favorite Italian restaurant and we ordered our food and after a while it arrived. We ate quietly and then went to sleep.
