A few days later, our letters arrived from Hogwarts. As silly as it seems,
I was ecstatic to get it, even though I knew it was coming.

“Wonder why we have all these Gilderoy Lockhart books on our supply
list,” I said curiously.

“Our teacher's probably a witch,” Ron grumbled.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” I said as I turned to him with a subtle
glare.

“Witches all love Lockhart,” he said, not looking at me.

“Ronald,” I said in a dangerously sweet voice. Everyone’s eyes snapped to
me. “Run because if I get my hands on you, you will regret it.” Smart boy, he
ran. I followed him, knowing Ginny was following me and Harry was with Fred and
George, who were betting on the outcome. I quickly caught him and began beating
him to the ground.

“Oh, by the way, I find Lockhart to be a stupid imbecile incapable of
normal human thought.” I helped him back to the house and put him down in the
kitchen.

“Sorry, Mrs. Weasley, Ron was being a sexist git.” I told her. She fixed
him up quickly. The boys came in then and Ginny left.

“Who won the bet?” I asked Fred and George.

     “Fred,” George grumbled.

“Bravo,” I said smiling and hugging him. Then, an owl arrived with letters
from Hermione. I’d read my letter before the boys had theirs open and scribbled
out a short reply.

Later that afternoon we went out back to play Quidditch.

“Sky, you’re really good,” Harry said smiling.

“Thanks, I’ve been practicing with these buffoons all summer,” I rolled my
eyes.

“You were good before you practiced with us, Sky,” Fred laughed at me.

“Tomorrow we're going to Diagon Alley, this time I won’t be with some freak
of nature,” I smiled, “I’ll be with four instead.” I laughed and put her arm
around Harry and Ron’s shoulders. “I hope that this year is less eventful and
that Dobby was wrong.”

The next morning, Mrs. Weasley offered Harry a flower pot.

“Mum, Harry’s never traveled by floo powder before.”

After a quick demonstration, he still didn’t want to go, so I went.

“Diagon A-” I was cut off when I sneezed, dropping the floo powder. I
landed in the fireplace of a dark store. Moments later, I was joined by Harry.
As we went to leave, the spawn of Satan and his father walked in to the store.

“Hide,” I whispered in true fear. Not of Draco, but of his father. They
turned over some dark objects and I heard Draco ask his dad for the hand of
darkness, which his father refused, and they left.

Harry and I slipped out into the busy street. I grabbed Harry’s arm, seeing
that we are in Knockturn Alley. For anyone who isn’t aware, that is a scary
place where you buy dark magical objects. I was scared silly. People started
trying to talk to us, and then Harry was even starting to worry. Then, by some
miracle, we saw Hagrid, who took us back to Diagon Alley.

“Thanks Hagrid.” I breathed a sigh of relief.

“Harry, Sky!" I heard Hermione yell. I turned around and hugged her. Then she
hugged Harry and pulled back.

“Your glasses,” She laughed and repaired them. We quickly found Ron’s
family and were given permission to split up. After we did a few things, we met
up with Fred, George, and Lee.

“Boys, are you really going to buy anything?” I laughed at them. It was
simple jokes and they looked like kids in a candy store. Later, in a junk shop,
we saw Percy looking at a book. I grabbed it and read the cover.

“Prefects Who Gained Power,” I read aloud. “Guess we know why he was so
quiet.” Then, we headed to the book store where Gildoroy Lockhart, gag, was
signing books. We walked in and he saw Harry. Naturally, he wanted his photo
taken with him. He then announced that he would be our new teacher.

“No,” I groaned, “Ron, I wish our teacher was an obsessed witch.” Ron and
the other two boys nodded sadly.  When Harry gave Mrs. Weasley the books he’d
been given, we went to leave and saw none other than Draco Malfoy.

“Can’t even go into a book store without making the front page, Potter!" He
yelled at Harry.

“It’s not his fault,” I yelled at him.

      “Leave him alone,” Ginny screeched.

“Got yourself some little girlfriends, huh, Potter?" He spat at Harry. I
stepped forwards to break his nose as his dad put his cane in front of him.

“Now, now, Draco, play nicely,” He said in a sick voice. Then, he went to
taunt the Weasleys, even messing with Ginny’s books.

“I hate them,” I spat as we stood outside the store. The two adults had
gotten into a brawl. “He makes me want to scream!” I said loudly. Harry put a
hand on my shoulder and I turned around. The others looked as mad as I felt.
Finally, Hagrid came out with Mr. Weasley, who was sporting a split lip, and I
ran into the store.

“You are a despicable person,” I yell at Mr. Malfoy’s head.

“You are?” he turned around and asked.

“Sky Potter,” I informed him with a glare that could kill.

“Well, I really don’t care what a silly little girl thinks,” He smiled at
me like I was five.

I kicked him as hard as I could in the shin, so he doubled over, making his
head at the same level as mine.

“I am not a silly little girl.” I spat and then calmly walked out of the
store. Harry looked about ready to laugh. The Weasley boys looked proud, apart
from Percy, who looked shocked. Ginny was smiling openly. Hermione just looked
worried.

“Look at the example you are setting,’ Mrs. Weasley chastised her husband.

“Ma’am, I’d have broken Draco’s nose if the two of them hadn’t started to
fight.” I admitted.

“Regardless, it’s our job to set a better example,” She glared at her
husband. All of us walked into the leaky cauldron, saying temporary goodbyes and
heading home.
