"𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗗𝗢 𝗜 know you're really real?" You asked the orange haired boy who sat across from you in the meadow. "How do I know I'm not just...making it all up?"
For the past few months you had caught yourself constantly dreaming of the same boy, an unfamiliar one at that. You had never seen him in your real life before yet he seemed so real you couldn't help but be drawn to him. And it didn't help he was so incredibly social with you- even if it was just a dream.
Right?
"I don't know. I don't even know if you're real!" He buried his face in his hands as he racked his brain for answers.
You pulled your knees to your chest. "I wish you were real." You quietly said, to the point it was almost a whisper. "You're the most intriguing person I've ever met, and I don't even know if you're real or not." You admitted aloud, cursing mentally in embarrassment. "I'm scared you're just a part of my imagination I've created in my dreams."
He nodded before scooting closer to you, placing his hand on top of yours. "I'm scared too. I know this is a dream but... I can't help but feel things for you. Even if I'm not certain of your existence or not." He whispered before placing a kiss on your hand. "You just feel so real. More real than the world itself."
You couldn't help but grasp his hand back in an attempt to fight back your tears. Never in your life had you felt so important to someone, and it hurt so bad to not know if they were even real or not. "I want to know if you're real."
"I want that too, more than anything." He replied as he brushed a tear falling from your eyes. "But even if you're real or not, a fragment of my imagination, or another person here with me right now, I know without a doubt I love you Y/N." He confessed. "Even if you aren't real, my love for you will always be."
Your eyes shot open as reality came crashing, your mind spinning in frustration and loss.
Oh how you wished Jongseob, your dream boy, was real.
