Chapter 14 - Three Parts to all Stories, I've Got One (Samson POV) Pt. 1

After classes I raced home, meeting dad with the younger children, "Everyone is still coming here?" it's blurted out and for a minute he stiffens and his face drops. Dad shakes his head, "Your mother and I forgot," he says standing straight and rubbing his hands over his face.

"Ten more kids..." I nod.

"We... well no one can be on the third floor extra room with Faith, we will have the girls Paige and Caterina invited bunk with them, their rooms are large enough... I guess this ruins the ones who wanted to be with their significant others," dad continues speaking humor in his voice.

I tilt my head to the side, "please, you might not be engaging in such activities, Samson, but your siblings and their friends, well you're mother and I know what happens in our own home when we go to sleep," he goes to the fridge looking for some of the pre-made food mom made that we only need to heat.

Pulling out two trays of lasagna' and then reaching out for the takeout menu's he hands them over to me, "You guys decide what the group wants and try to narrow it down to one place please," he says leaving the room.

When he leaves, I head up to Talia's room and find her lounging on her bed, her television playing and her French textbook next to her closed. "Hey, how are you feeling?" with a large sigh, she gives me a great bit smirk-smile. "Everyone is still invited over, Dad and Mom forgot to make the change request," I said before she could really give me a verbal answer to the first comment I made.

"You're worried about Faith." It's not really a question, not at all even. I just shrug, "She has such a hard time when it's just us... adding more people... well there were twenty of us when she had that panic attack in class..." the snort Talia releases is louder than the television, and her whole body is shaking as she breaks out in the giggles.

"Samson - you think - you think it - it was the - the large group - that sent her into - into panic?" she sputters and tries to speak between chuckles. I look away, "No," I wasn't stupid enough to believe that a group of people was the reasons why she went into a full panic. "I know it was my fault but it was..." she nods in understanding.

"Yes, it was, but you took it out on her and to make it worse, Taylor was sneering at the girl like Faith kicked her puppy or something," Talia waved her hand in her over exaggeration. "That's not my fault, you know that you know how - I've told you and you don't bug me anymore about her, it's not like that Talia," I whisper out. I know It would be perfect, magically even, and I roll my eyes as I think it, for Taylor and I to date because her siblings were with mine, but that wasn't a reason to be with someone. I wanted something different, someone themselves and someone that I could just be myself with.

What people saw on the outside wasn't much; anyone could be pretty, wear makeup like it was icing, but what about what was on the inside? It wasn't that Taylor was pretty enough, or kind enough, she just wasn't it for me. When I gazed at my siblings or any couple really, the gleam in their eyes they had for that person they were holding their hand, and I tried to imagine that in my own head... it wasn't Taylor.
