The Gate - [PT1]

y/n's pov

Mike walked in front of Hopper and walked closer to Eleven. They got closer to each other until they met in the middle.

"Eleven."

"Mike."

They pulled each other into a warm embrace tightly. They both cried tears of joy.

"Is that..." Max began. Lucas, Dustin and I, who were stood next to her, nodded.

Mike pulled away from the hug. "I never gave up on you. I called you every night. Every night for—"

"353 days." El finished. "I heard."

"Why didn't you tell me you were there? That you were okay?"

"Because I wouldn't let her." Hopper responded. Everyone's attention turned to him, including Eleven's. Hopper walked over to her. "What the hell is this? Where have you been?"

"Where have you been?" El asked a bit angrily before getting pulled into a hug by him.

"You've been hiding her. "You've been hiding her this whole time!" Mike shoved the chief.

"Hey!" Hopper grabbed Mike's hand before he could swing again. "Let's talk. Alone."

Hopper and Mike went to a different and El turned to look at me, Lucas, and Dustin.

I walked forward and we pulled each other into hugs. "I really missed you." I sighed and pulled away.

"I missed you, too." She smiles and turned to Lucas and Dustin, pulling them into hugs as well.

"We missed you, too." Lucas stated as they pulled away from the hug.

"I missed you guys, too."

"We talked about you pretty much everyday." Dustin smiled, showing his teeth.

El put her finger in Dustin's mouth to feel his teeth. "Teeth."

"What?"

"You have teeth."

"Oh. You like these pearls?" Dustin did a weird ass purring sound. Lucas' smile turned into him rolling his eyes and El backed up a bit.

"Eleven?" Max called. Eleven turned to look at her. "Hey. Um, I'm Max. I've heard a lot about you." Max held out her hand in front of El.

Eleven looked at her questioningly and looked at me. I nodded, so Eleven put her hand in Max's and she shook it.

El walked past Max and hugged Ms. Byers, crying into her arms. "Hey, sweetheart." Ms. Byers squeezed her a bit. El pulled away and Ms. Byers put her hands on El's cheeks.

"Can I see him?"

Ms. Byers sighed and took El to the room where he was resting. I followed as well. El kneeled down next to the bed and Ms. Byers sat on it. I kneeled down next to El.

El put her hand on Will's shoulder. "I know. I saw."

"What else did you see?"

El looked at Ms. Byers and back at Will. We went to the dining room table, where the cardboard was that they wrote on to translate the morse code. It said "Close gate."

"You opened this gate before, right?" Ms. Byers asked.

El nodded. "Yes."

Everyone else began to come to the dining room. Ms. Byers sighed. "Do you think if we got you back there, that you could close it?"

Eleven looked at her and sighed shakily.

"It's not like it was before. It's grown." Hopper sighed. "A lot. And, I mean, that's considering we can get in there. The place is crawling with those dogs."
