"Lex, Alex, help," Ada says, breathing heavily.

"What do you need?" Alex asks, helping Ada onto a chair as Amari brings a glass of water over, placing it on the table.

"Where's Tommy?" Ada inquires, "have you seen Fred?"

"Ada, what's going on?"

"I think they're going to kill each other," Ada states.

"If it helps Tommy mentioned that he was going down to the canal," Amari informs.

"Stay with her," Alex tells her, "I'll be back soon."

"Where are you going?" Ada asks.

"You asked for my help, Ada," Alexandria responds, "so I'm helping."

-

"What the fuck are you two doing?" Alex says, approaching Tommy and Freddie who had their guns aimed at each other, startling them and now having two guns pointed in her direction.

"Put those things away," Alex states, and both guns are slowly lowered, "would either of you care to give me a logical explanation for this? A logical explanation for pregnant Ada running about fucking scared you were going to kill each other."

"No," Tommy replies.

"He thinks I'm fucking up Ada's life for my cause," Freddie says, before turning to Tommy, "you need to accept that no matter what you say or do, I love your sister, and she loves me, so get over it."

"Oh, this is fucking ridiculous, pulling guns because of that, what are you? 12?" Alex says.

"Who was pulling guns on people at 12?" Freddie remarks.

"Who wasn't?" Alex replies.

"Are you here to try and intimidate me? To get me to leave your sister alone?" Freddie questions, and Alex shakes her head, "I'm here because I want Ada to be happy, she cares for both of you and doesn't want you to hurt each other, so will you both just stop being so fucking childish. What did you think drawing weapons was going to do? Seriously, in what way was it ever going to help?"

"Lex-"

"Thomas - shut up, lets go," Alex says, clipping her brother round the back of the head, before turning to Freddie, "Ada is at the Garrison."

-

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Alex questions, feeling Amari's eyes on her as she took a sip from her glass of whiskey, Amari flushes a bright red before diverting her attention.

"That doesn't mean look away from me, it means answer my question," Alex states.

"I know you don't like apologies," Amari responds.

"Why would you be apologising?" Alex asks.

"For the other night, I didn't mean to snap at you like that," Amari says.

"Snap at me?" Alex repeats, "that was you snapping?"

Amari glares at her, before turning away, "I retract my statement."

"Amari," Alex says, "I overstepped, don't apologise for being rightfully annoyed."

Amari turns back around to face her, and she notices Alex straighten up, a slight furrow to her eyebrows, as her eyes bear into the scratch on Amari's cheek.

"Don't you dare look away from me," Alex states, gesturing for Amari to come closer to her, "what happened?"

"Nothing - don't worry about it," Amari whispers, nervous as Alex lifts a hand, her thumb softly caressing the blemish causing an outburst of shivers to transcend down her spine. Alex's touch was so gentle and delicate, as if scared that she may break her.
