2 days later (Hailey POV)
I've been going to see Jake for a month and 2 days... I think, and I never noticed until 2 days ago that the love of my life was right there all along. I think mom sent him for me, he's kind of like her.
(Hailey's phone dings)

That was really weird... what could he want that late, and at his house? Should I bring dad with me? No... I'll be fine, I'll just sneak out the window tonight, I do happen to have a lower level room.
Later that night
I curled my hair and dressed up not to nice, but also not to casual. I grabbed some soft leggings, my favorite boots and a comfy sweater. This is cute... I guess. I texted Jake saying I was in route, and he replied back with a 👍 emoji, that was not like him. Oh well, I worry too much.
When I made it to Jake's house he was waiting outside, seems he was waiting for me too. He lead me in and there his mom stood.
Hailey- oh! Hi Jake's mom..
JM- oh, no you can call me holly.
Hailey- I apologize ma'am.
Jake- Mom, this is Hailey.
Hailey- that's me!
I giggled uncomfortably, I did not want to do "meet the mother" at 11 pm on a Wednesday, but here I was. Doing just what I dreaded.
