Felix's POV
"Yo-you didn't have to do that."

"I know. I wanted to."

"O-oh."

We walked to the living room and sat on the couch.

"What did he say?"

"First off...he tried to get me to give him money to fix his door. Secondly...he tried to deck me. Thirdly.....he snapped outta whatever he was in. He apologized to me. Don't ask why to me. I have no idea either."

"What did you say?"

"I calmly explained to him what he did."

"DADDY!"

"MOMMY!"

I heard footsteps and the girls ran up to us.

"Is everything okay?"

"We want a brother!"

"No! I want a sister!"

"But I want a brother!"

"Kids calm down."

"That's not how things work."

Mariposa started staring at me.

"You're not supposed to say shit like that."

I shrugged.

"Eh. You'll find out what that means when you're older."

"Daddy? Can I talk to the mean lady?"

"You want to talk to my mom?"

"I wanna have a grandma..."

"You can have mine!"

"Oh no. Y-you can't go giving away your grandma."

I pinched my nose bridge.

"What? I can't?"

"No. No you can't."

"You can share her."

"What the hell Posie?!"

"What? If the girl wants a grandma, just let her have a grandma. A nice one."

"True."

"So I don't have to talk to the mean lady?"

"Not if, you don't want to."

Her face lit up. She jumped onto the couch and started hugging me and Mariposa. Destiny jumped onto the couch and did the same thing.

Is this what a family of my own  feels like?

"Mari? Can you be my mommy forever?"

"Felix? What did you do?"

"Lixie? Can you be my daddy forever?"

"Okay what the hell are you two planning?"

"Nothing!"

"Nothing!"

"Ask her! You already started looking at rings!"

"Oh? You have?"

My face started to heat up.

"Uhhh see now...Katrina why?"

"You need to be happy! She makes you happy!"

"I do?"

"Trina what are you doing?"

"It sounds to me like, she's proposing to me on your behalf."

"Yes! I am! So...will you be my mommy forever?"

My heart started racing.

"Yes. I'll be your mommy forever."

"YAY!"

"I-I-I wasn't expecting any of this."

"Daddy? Can I say a bad word?"

"Uhhh I guess?"

"You've gone through hell. I missed you being happy. You're happy with mommy. It has to stay that way!"

"You knew...I wasn't happy?"

"I heard you crying one time."

"Is...is that why you walked into my room without saying anything?"

"Mhm. I love you!"

"Wait! Katty we're sisters now!"

"Yay!"

"Daddy, mommy needs a ring now!"

"Okay. Mari do you feel okay now? Are you okay to go out?"

"Hell yeah, I am!"

She kissed me.

"Mommy's liked you for a while now."

"And how long was that?"

"Don't say it."

"You've liked me since we were 15?!"

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I was scared. When I was about to go up to you....I-I panicked."

"I tried to distract myself with my ex but...I always wanted to be with you."

"I-I wish you told me. The girls would be ours then."
