Felix's POV
I went to bed early. I set an alarm so, I'd wake up on time. I started staring at my ceiling.

This isn't normal for me.

Nope.

Not a all.

I've never been on a date this early in the morning.

I got up and took a quick shower.

I'm okay.

It's okay.

You're okay.

I got ready then went downstairs.

"You're leaving already?"

Oh fuck.

I turned around. Katrina was standing at the top of the stairs. I ran up to her.

"I'll be back later."

I started hugging her.

"Go back to your room. I'll be back."

"You-you'll come back?"

"I'll always come back. I gotta go. I love you."

"I love you too."

"I'm coming back. Don't worry."

I walked down the stairs again and grabbed my keys. I felt bad leaving Katrina. She sat on the stairs and watched me leave.

That was fuckin painful.

I got in my car and texted Mariposa. I started driving to her house.

You're fine.

It's fine.

Everything is fine.

I got to her house and parked in her driveway. I got out of my car and locked it. I walked up to the front door and knocked. The door opened and I saw her.

"Damn. You really were serious."

"I feel horrible."

I walked inside.

"Why?"

"Kat was so upset."

She brought me to the kitchen.

"Did you already start cooking?"

"Yeah. I got excited."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I-I haven't a date with someone here in a long time. I'm nervous and excited."

"I haven't been on a date in a while. I also am scared to say anything."

"Why?"

"I-I'm scared to let people in."

"You are?"

"Yeah. My parents...really fucked me up. I-I want to let you in. Trust me. I-I do. I don't want to get attached too."

"Why?"

"I-it's a whole shit show."

We finished cooking then went to the dining room to eat.

"Are you serious about, not having friends?"

"Yeah. All the ones I had, left me. Oh I-I'm sorry. I keep talking about me."

"I wanna know about you. Nobody really knows...well anything about you. It's been like that since what? 6th grade?"

That's when it went to hell?

"You used to be so happy."

"I know. I miss that."

"You do?"

"Yeah. I wasn't...screwed up."

"Can you at least...tell me one thing? It could be something dumb."

"Okay fine. Don't say anything. The guy who I work with, the one who left me all alone yesterday, he leaves in the middle of the day to get laid and smoke."

"Uh okay? I meant something about you."

"Oh well...you're one of the people I think, I should let in."

"Do you know why?"

"No. What I think I can tell you is, having a girl yell at me, scares me. That's all my mom did. So just...try to not yell at me."

"Are you pushing people away for a reason?"

"I guess...to protect Kat and everyone else."

"Why would you have to protect everyone else?"

"If someone knows about what my parents did, they might be endangered. I-I don't want to be alone."

"You're not alone anymore."

"For now."

"Wha-what does that mean?"

"Everyone leaves me eventually."

"I'm not leaving."

She started kissing me.

AHHHHHHHH!!!

WHAT THE FUCK?!

Her doorbell rang. She groaned and got up. She walked to the front door.
