this is similar to when i talked about bias but it cannot be stressed enough in my opinion.
your favourite characters are FLAWED TOO!
your least favourite characters (for the most part) also have some positive qualities that you shouldn't ignore if you want your story to feel authentic to the show. they have strengths!
of course some characters (like the villains) have more flaws than others and if they are the villain in your story it makes sense that those would be focused on.
but your favs are not perfect.
so i thought that i would spend a few chapters on the character flaws of some of the most popular and beloved characters who somehow always appear perfect in fanfics and the characters who are made into the worst people because their flaws are really highlighted.
