The next day I hadn't spoken to anyone since the previous day so I just walked past everyone

"Rain!" I looked up to Otis and Cruz

"Hm?"

"We apologise for snooping, it wasn't our place. We know your nothing like Robert" at the sound of my fathers name I winced

"Thanks guys" I said and quickly walked off and went into the kitchen

"Hey" the girls said coming beside me. I smiled greeting them
"Can we talk?" I nodded and they signalled for us to go in the other room which we did

"listen by the time we found out about the snooping it was too late to stop it, we did try but they weren't listening to us"

"It's okay, people can be curious"

"we're also sorry about the situation in general it can't have been good growing up with him?" I laughed slightly shaking my head

"It wasn't" I laughed bitterly
"He's a dick" I said and they laughed slightly but I could tell it wasn't real

Once we pulled up we all surrounded the crash, noticing a giant metal sticking into the windshield and into the person at the front seat

"Hey, we got a kid In here guys" Severide said

I held the metal ledger to the door and Casey hit it trying to open it but it wasn't working

"we've got to get that cover off him Casey. Doors not budging. gonna need to hurst. Otis?"

"Got it" we all gasped as a drain came flying into the air followed by more and fire coming out of each one

"Get down!" Once it kind of stopped we got back up

Once got the car door open I handed the rope to Severide through the car which he then wrapped around a giant metal thing, trapping the guy and Casey got the other door open

"Pull!" We pulled into the rope and got the metal out which allowed Jimmy to treat the guy in the car

"okay 51 listen up. teams of two grab CO2 extinguishers. Pick a manhole, wait for my signal. Let's go!" I went over to the extinguishers

"Rain? With me?"

"Sure" we went off into another direction

"fire those extinguishers" we pumped it through the drains which was letting out fire

"Hey" the girls said coming up to me. I looked at them confused on the intervention

Especially since it was taking place in the bathroom

"What's up?"

"We saw you putting out fires with a certain lieutenant" I stopped what I was doing and blushed

"Oh my gosh"

"No way"

"It's harmless. We was putting out fires. You two teamed up. Brett was taking a guy to the hospital and Severide offered" I smiled slightly at the gesture

"Oh my. You really like him" I widened my eyes and covered my lip with my finger shushing them

"I don't. But if I did, I wouldn't want anyone to know" they nodded smugly

"Right, of course"

"But I feel like we should give you a warning" Dawson said softly. that grabbed my attention and I looked to her confused
