"They say if you love something set it free and if it's meant for you, it'll come back. I loved you enough to let you go."

She stared back up at him, tears forming in her broken blue eyes.

"I stayed. You let me go, and I stayed." Her voice cracked. "Can't you see that?"

His face dropped and he looked down at his shoes.

She spoke up again, "Even when you tried pushing me away and isolating, I told you that I'm here for you whenever you need me. I stayed through every single thing, especially through your heartbreaks. All the times you began to move onto someone else, I was here to support and help you." She closed her eyes and took a shaky breath. "What more do I need to do to get you to realize this?"

There was a moment of silence as he continued to look down at his shoes, not able to speak. No matter what she did though, the tears started to spill from her eyes, and she just barely interrupted the silence with the statement, "I'm really tired."

He finally looked back up to her crying. His eyes were filled with sorrow and guilt.

He said the only words he could manage to get out before he started crying too:

"I'm so sorry."
