The boy confusedly watched the girl as she looked down and scratched her arms nervously.

"I- I, honestly, can't do this anymore." She spilled.

"Do what?" He asked.

"Pretend."

He scrunched his nose up in confusion. She shook her head and huffed.

"I cannot continue to pretend like this anymore; that I don't see you as one walking, talking, breathing galaxy, or the way everything brightens up ten times more by your smile than by the sun. I can't pretend that you make me as equally as happy as everyone else, that your existence alone doesn't make the worst day of my life into the best day of my life."

He tilted his head to the side, "What are you saying?"

She sighed and replied, "I like you."
