"Am I missing something? Why did you growl at me?" Ash asked.

"I won the sofa wars." I said, suddenly cheerful.

"Should I even ask?"

"No. Now get off the couch before I come over there." I threatened, angry again.

"Bipolar much?" She joked.

"Haha. Now move over." I commanded.

She raised an eyebrow, but ended up complying.

I sat down next to her.

"You got your suit on?" I asked.

"Heck yeah. Please don't tell me that that's what you're wearing." She said, shifting her attention to my clothes.

I looked up at what she was wearing. She had on printed shorts and a black lacy top.

"What's wrong with my sweats?" I asked.

"Everything. You need to go change." She said, "I'll help you."

"No! I can't leave the couch! He will get it!" I
protested.

"Fine. I'll bring something to you, then you will try it on." She suggested.

She got up and left the living room, heading back towards my room.

As soon as she closed the door behind her, Lukas walked out of his room... Without a shirt on.

"Put your shirt on." I said, simply rolling my eyes and focusing back on the show on kangaroos.

"I can't believe you are still watching this." He sighed.

He walked into the living room, sitting down on the floor next to the couch.

"I am hoping that you aren't wearing that to the pool." He said.

"Ash is getting me something new. Now, for heaven's sake, put a shirt on." I said.

"What is all this manliness distracting you?" He said, gesturing to his shirtlessness.

"What manliness? I believe it's called femininity." I said.

"Hey! Is that even a word, anyway?" He asked, offended.

"Yes." I flatlined.

He frowned, slipping his shirt on.

"You're so smart, it makes you a loser." He grumbled.

"Nice to know." I said. I didn't care for insults. I didn't care what people thought.

Words can't hurt anyone. They are just a jumble of syllables put together.

No harm done.

"Can you please scoot over a little? I wanna sit." Lukas complained.

"No. You can live with sitting on the floor." I insisted.

We sat in silence for a minute.

"Ugh! This is boring! I want the couch." Lukas said finally.

"No." I repeated.

"I didn't ask for your opinion." He said, starting to smirk.

"Oh no. You're gonna do something, aren't you?" I asked, worriedly.

"Maybe." He said, his smirk growing.

He got up from the floor and scooped me up, bridal-style.

"No! Put me down!" I squealed.

"No. We are going for a ride, first." He said, already starting to run around the room.

I squealed again.
