Chapter Fourteen~ Bitten

There I was, awake and still lying down. Why? Oh nothing, just that I have finally gotten the opportunity I've been waiting weeks for and now I'm scared.

I mean, I came in contact with a family of vampires and all I was looking for was a place to stay and a job. What the hell am I going to find looking for a drink and a good time?

*Screw this, I'm not going.*

I turn over and suddenly all the reasons of why I'm going out flashes back to me. I leap out out of my bed and start making it. When I'm done I head down stairs to get something to eat. Can't drink on an empty stomach right? When I reach down stairs I take a brief scan of the fridge.

*There's nothing in here. I should probably order in. They don't take that long. Who am I kidding the take forever. Ok Rose, stop stalling, make a sandwich and get the hell out of here.*

Dylan: I thought you had a date.

Rose: OH MY GOD! You scared the crap out of me!

Dylan: Gross.

Rose: Anyway, why do you care?

"I don't. Sorry for giving you the wrong impression." he says walking out of the kitchen with some water in a watering can.

R: I don't think thats enough for all those plants out there.

"It's not for them." he says as he continues to walk away.

I catch up to him, "Wait up!"

Rose: I wanted to ask, are you guys the only.....uh

Dylan: Vampires? No.

My heart drops. I am definitely not going out tonight.

Rose: What, so are there like tons of packs of them out there in New York?

Dylan: Packs? *he laughs* How dumb can you be?

R: Why are you being so mean? I thought-

D: What? That we were friends? I only took you out because my pain in the ass brother asked me to.

R: But you didn't hurt me. You even saved my life.

D: I didn't want anymore drama. Something tells me you would be more trouble for me dead than alive.

R: I haven't done anything to you. I don't understand why you-

He looks me deep in my eyes and says "Shut up", and I do. But it wasn't just a " he caught me by surprise" kind of reaction. I couldn't speak!

D: Holy shit that actually worked? *he laughs* I thought my eldest brother would've had his dearest Rose filled with vervain by now. Huh, I guess not.

He does the stare again. "Get on both knees", he said. I do as he says and drop to my knees.

"Ever since you came here you have been a pain in my ass", hey says pushing my hair back.

"You know from down there you look-

Lorenzo: What the hell is going on here?

Dylan: Honestly brother is this a thing now? Charging into places you are not needed?

Lorenzo: Rose? You seriously compelled her Dylan? And what exactly were you gonna make her do while she was down there? Last time I checked she was a slut that you hate.

Dylan: Oh don't be dramatic. I had no plan of doing anything.

L: Yeah....right.

D: I'm honestly surprised it worked. I thought you would have her high on vervain by now.
