As Professor McGonagall questioned Anna about her holiday plans, Sirius couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment. He wanted nothing more than to spend the holiday season with Anna, but he knew it wasn't possible.

Despite the concern shown by McGonagall, Anna, and Sirius, they insisted on leaving Hogwarts for the break. They had reasons for doing so, and they wouldn't be swayed.

As the conversation ended, McGonagall moved on, leaving Sirius and Anna to their own devices. They exchanged a sad glance before going their separate ways, feeling the weight of the upcoming holiday season.

Anna felt a thrill of excitement as she prepared for the Christmas ball. Walburga had spared no expense in decorating the grand hall, with shimmering silver and gold ornaments hanging from the ceiling and sparkling fairy lights adorning the walls. The room was filled with the delicious scent of roasted meats and sweet pastries, and Anna's stomach rumbled in anticipation.

As she descended the grand staircase, Anna couldn't help but feel a little nervous. She was wearing a stunning emerald green gown that Walburga had chosen, with a delicate lace bodice and a flowing skirt that trailed behind her as she walked. Her hair had been swept into an elegant chignon, with a few loose curls framing her face.

As she entered the ballroom, Anna was struck by the scene's beauty before her. Couples were waltzing gracefully across the dance floor, their laughter and conversation filling the air. The room was bathed in a warm, golden glow, and Anna felt like she had stepped into a fairy tale.

She felt a pang of sadness momentarily as she realized that Sirius was not there with her. But then she saw Regulus waving at her from across the room, and she smiled. He wore a smart black suit that accentuated his broad shoulders and lean frame and looked the charming young wizard every inch.

Anna spent the evening dancing with Regulus, chatting with her parent's friends, and sampling delicious food and drink. She felt carefree and happy, surrounded by the warmth and joy of the holiday season. As the night drew close and the guests began to depart, Anna felt a sense of contentment wash over her. She knew that she would always treasure the memories of this magical night.

The holiday season was a tumultuous time for the Black family. During New Year's Eve, Sirius's behavior caused their parents to become angrier, leading to yelling matches during meals with guests. Andromeda, Sirius's and Annas cousin was disowned during Christmas for her decision to marry a Muggle-born wizard. The news shocked everyone, especially Andromeda, who had always been a dutiful daughter and had never gone against her family's wishes.

Anna, Sirius's younger sister, became fed up with her family, especially Sirius, who had always been the family's troublemaker. She was often caught in the middle of her siblings' arguments, and it had become exhausting. One day, while the family was arguing about Andromeda's decision to marry a Muggle-born, Anna had had enough.

"Why can't we just accept her decision and move on?" Anna asked, her frustration evident in her voice.

"Because it's a disgrace to our family name!" their mother shouted.

"But what about her happiness? Isn't that more important?" Anna retorted.

Their father, who had been silent until now, spoke up. "We cannot allow our family to be associated with Muggles. It's just not done."
