Chapter 20 - Meeting My Twins

After hours of restless flight, I finally reached my destination. In a few minutes, I’ll see my twins, my two wonderful children...

We’ve decided to meet up in my hotel here in Milan. They somehow manage to make their guardians believe that they are in a week school activity. Aren’t they smart?

“Signore, siamo già qui presso l'hotel.”, said the driver. – ‘Sir, we are already here at the hotel.’

“Grazie!”, I said then stormed out of the car. – ‘Thank you!’

I’m really excited to see them. Sabi ni Sam, nasa pent house na raw ang mga anak ko. Pinili kong doon na lang muna makipagkita sa kanila dahil ayaw ko silang makasama sa magulo kong mundo. Hangga’t maaari ay ilihim muna namin ang tungkol sa aming relasyon dahil hindi pa namin naayos ang lahat sa amin ni Raqz. Willing naman akong ipakilala sila bilang mga anak ko eh! Sinong hindi magiging proud sa kanila? Genius na, magagandaang nilalang pa, mana sa ama! Well, iyong genius part, sa mama nila. Hahaha! Kung mangyayari mang malalantad ang tungkol sa kanila, gusto kong buo na ang pamilya namin.

Dali-dali akong pumunta sa elevator papunta sa aking pent house. Excited na akong mayakap ang aking mga anak. Pagbukas ko ng pinto, naka-ready na ang aking wide smile at warm hug para sa kanila. Pero laking gulat ko nang hindi ko sila nakita. Inaasahan ko pa naman na sasalubuhin nila ako pagbukas ko pa lang ng pinto.

Maybe they’re in the kitchen? In the bedroom? In the CR? Pero wala sila eh! Nasaan na sila? I tried to call their phone, but it can’t be reached.

Baka naman lumabas lang sandali! Wala na akong choice kundi ang maghintay na bumalik sila.

Then I decided to change my clothes and wait for them to return. Just as I was about to open my walk-in closet, the twins jumped at me.

“Booooo!”, they said in unison.

“Aaaaah! What the fuck?”, I screamed and clutched my chest then they laughed at me when they saw how shocked I was.

“Hahahaha!”

“What’s wrong with you guys?”, sabi kong medyo kinapos ng hininga.

“We just want you to remember our first meeting together forever! Was it effective?”, Jazz said.

“Well, it’s not the kind of welcoming style that I imagined from you guys, but it was really memorable. Who would expect a shocking welcome from you?”, sabi kong natatawa na lang sa kalokohan ng mga anak ko.

“Vi ho detto Jaqz! Io sono genio o quello che?”, Jazz said proudly to his sister. – ‘I told you Jaqz! Am I genius or what?’

“Beh, le idee folli proviene di solito da voi!”, Jaqz answered him then laughed at him.”Hahahahaha!” – ‘Well, crazy ideas normally comes from you!’

Nakakatuwang pagmasdan ang kambal habang tumatawa sila. Maloko rin pala sila, mana sa ama! Kanino pa nga ba magmamana? Hahahaha! Marami pa talaga akong dapat malaman tungkol sa kanila. I have to know them more.

“Ehem! Can you just give me a normal one?”, nakangiti kong sabi sa kanila then I opened my arms as wide as I can. “Come here guys!”

“Group hug!”, sabay nilang sigaw.

They let themselves to be enveloped in my warm embrace.

“Hmmmmm... This is life!”, I said contently. “Vi voglio bene!” – ‘I love you both!’
