The school day dragged on painfully. I was more than relieved once the final bell rang. I met Jules at her locker like we had planned, "hey girl, you ready to go?"
She nodded sweetly and we both made our way out of school. We started walking in the direction of our neighbourhood when a car slowed down beside us.
"Yo why didn't you wait for me?" Ash called out as he pulled up next to the sidewalk.
"I thought you wasn't coming cause you were busy earlier," I explained.
Ash's eyes darted between me and Jules before he spoke up, "Get in then, i'll give yo lil friend a ride home too."
