After lunch mark said he'd take Karev for the rest of the day which meant I was on scut.This was one of the moments where I was jealous of everyone , they were all scrubbing in on surgeries and I got kicked off my service. I know mark wasn't doing it for anything I did , he was doing it to piss off Addison by taking her intern.

Instead of doing scut I made my way to the labour and delivery ward , knowing Addison was short an intern she would most likely steal me for the rest of the day. I didn't mind , I'd probably get a good surgery out of it.

"Hey Addie , mark took your intern and I got kicked out so you need help?" I asked as soon as I saw her. "Yep that's fine, I have a mom in room 336 that's at 5cm if you can just monitor her and page me when she gets to 10cm that would be great then after that I have a C scheduled that you can scrub in on" I nodded and went to room 336

"Hey there, I'm dr matthews what's your name?" I smiled as I pulled on some gloves. "I'm Katie and this is my husband Jake" the woman replied. "Nice to meet you both, I'm just going to give you a look over ok? And just make sure you're progressing nicely" I checked her , she was now at 9cm which meant she didn't have much to go.

"Everything looks fine" I took my gloves off and put them in the medical waste bin "I'll just go get doctor Montgomery" I walked out the room and to the nurses station "can you page addison to room 336? The moms at 9cm." The nurse nodded and proceeded to page addison.

Five minutes past and there was still no sign of Addison "has she been pulled into surgery?" I asked knowing that the mom would be ready to deliver soon. "I'm not sure if she has we don't have anyone to deliver that baby" the nurse replied

"I can do it, just get me everything I need" the nurse nodded and speed walked away , getting me a delivery kit. I made my way over to the room and put on a gown and my scrub cap , then I put on some gloves and a nurse tied the back of the gown. "Okay Katie I'm going to give you another exam and if you're fully dialated I'll tell you when it's ok to push" she nodded and I checked her out

"Okay on this next contraction I need you to push , but only on the contraction" I spoke and was waiting For her to push. Eventually the babies head started crowning. "Okay Katie that was amazing , you're crowning so give me another push on the next contraction" I held the babies head with one of my hand , using the other to hold onto its torso when she pushed.

"You're doing so well babe" Jack praised his partner. "Okay now the last push Katie you need to use all your strength ok? Then it'll all be over and you'll have your baby" once the baby was out cries filled the room. I wrapped the baby in a hospital blanket and cut the cord.

Handing the baby back up to mum and dad addison arrived. I walked out the room , placing my gloves and gown in the bin on the way out "hey I'm so sorry I got pulled into surgery" she apologised once we were away from the doorway. "It's okay, good thing you taught me how to deliver a baby" I smiled. "You did a good job blair , I'll see you at home after my shift" I nodded and went to the locker room , changing into my other clothes and putting my scrubs in the washing basket.

Walking to the car park i had found mark on the way so we just continued with our plans to go grocery shopping and get takeout. I filled my emergency bag with a new change of clothes I brought and just sat back as mark drove.

"So how was the rest of your day?" Mark asked making small talk. "Wasn't interesting , we had lunch and you kicked me off your service so I just hung around the hospital, you?" I left out the part about being with Addison and delivering the baby knowing it was a sore subject for today.

"Yeah nothing of note. Just witnessed Stevens and Karev pull the same stunt you did. Didn't make me laugh as much" he admitted as he pulled into the grocery stores parking lot.

"Okay you know what you're needing?" Mark asked as we grabbed a shopping cart. I took the handle and began pushing it into the store "yeah I do I've got a mental list"

"Lead the way then blair" he followed me around the store , throwing things in the cart that we needed , I ended up getting snacks too because with our schedules sometimes it's hard to grab breakfast so these will come in handy.

"You need anything else?" Mark asked as we walked down the cereal aisle "not really just some cereal and we can go, what you thinking for dinner? Your pick" I left the cart to go pick up some cereals that addie and I liked.

"Oh hey robins" mark spoke as I made my way back to the cart "oh hey Arizona, didn't expect to see you here" I said as I put the cereal boxes in the cart. Arizona just smiled and then practically bolted out the aisle.

"What did you do blair" mark groaned. "Hey I did nothing I haven't spoke to her since you know" I mumbled , we headed to the checkout and then made our way back to the car with our things. "Let's just pick up a pizza on the way home" mark answered my question from earlier when we got back to the car

"Sounds good. Let's go" I got in the car and he drove to the pizza place closest to the house "just the usual?" I asked and he nodded , I got out the car and went and got the pizza and we went back home.

"Addie we're home!" I spoke as I set the bags down , I let mark take the pizza and he just went straight to my room "I'll put the shopping away since you got it" addie spoke I just nodded and went up to my room where mark was.

"I see you've made yourself comfortable" referencing to him already lying on my bed and eating the pizza. "Glad to know you like it here" I laughed before sitting next to him and eating.

"Wonder what arizonas problem was , it's not like we are committed to eachother" I spoke in between mouthfuls of pizza "maybe she thinks you're in a relationship" mark replied "and why would she think that" I was confused.

"Hm maybe because we were grocery shopping like a married couple? That ring a bell" he replied sarcastically "yeah but surely she knows we aren't together?" I let it go and continued to eat the pizza.

After the food we just turned on the tv and watched a movie together , but then mark got other ideas. We slowly undressed eachother and all thoughts left our heads

Okay so you guys probably think I forgot about Arizona but I didn't!!! She was just gone for a few chapters because I have this whole idea going on and it's the way it's working out in the end
