We stood at the top of the gate.

“Hail Thorin, son of Thrain! We are glad to find you alive beyond hope.”Bard said.

“Why do come to the gates of the king under the mountain armed for war?”Thorin asked in reply to his question.

“Why does the king under the mountain fence himself in? Like a robber in his hole.”

“Perhaps it is because I am expecting to be robbed.”

“My lord - We have not come to rob you, but to seek fair settlement. Will you not speak with me?” Thorin wlaked down and conversed with Bard. We all looked at him. If Thorin did not agree we would go to war at dawn.

“What are you doing?! You cannot go to war.”Bilbo explained.

"He's right Thorin, this is folly." I replied.

“This does not concern either of you.”Thorin said.

"Excuse me you said that I would be your queen I think your matters involve me now." I shouted.

“Excuse me?! But just in case you haven’t noticed, there is an army of elves out there. And not to mention several hundred angry fishermen. We-We are in fact outnumbered.”Bilbo stated.

“Not for much longer.”

"What does that mean?”Bilbo and I wondered.

“It means Master Baggins, you should never underestimate dwarves. We have reclaimed Erebor - Now we defend it!” WE began to armor ourselves. I was giveen a chestplate a silver bow and daggers. Bilbo was given Mithril. I knew of the silver steel. Imprervious to any blade.  "I have something for you too my dear." He said and handed me a beautiful sword with a pearl inlay.

"This was a sword passed down to the women of our family. Dis was not a warrior and she was not given the chance to have it and I would give it to you." He said.

"There is no way I can accept this. Especially after everything else."I replied.

"You must." He said and I nodded. “It is a gift. A token of our love. True companions are hard to come by.” He looked at Bilbo and myself and back to the others and then back to us. “I have been blind. Now I begin to see. I am betrayed!”

“Betrayed?”Bilbo asked.

“The Arkenstone. One of them has taken it. One of them is false.”

“Thorin...the quest is fulfilled. You’ve won the mountain. Is that not enough?” Bilbo asked and he was right.

“Betrayed by my own kin.”

“No eh...You...You made a promise...to the people of Laketown. Is-Is this treasure truly worth more than your honor? Our honor, Thorin. I was also there, I gave my word. Bilbo gave his word." I said and he looked at the both of us angered.

“For that I’m grateful. It was nobly done. But the treasure in this mountain does not belong to the people of Laketown! This gold...is ours...and ours alone. By my life I will not part with a single coin! Not...one...piece of it!”He roared just as smaug once did what would we do? Bilbo and I decided in an unspoken language we had that we would both go to the camp of men and elves and strike a bargain. This had to end. We snuck out at midnight climbing down from the gate with a rope until wespied Gandalf talking to Bard.

“You, Bowman! Do you agree with this? Is gold so important to you? Would you buy it with the blood of dwarves?!”HE asked him and Bilbo and I approached.

“It will not come to that. This is a fight they cannot win.”Bard said.

"That won’t stop them. You think the dwarves will surrender?" I asked.

"They won’t. They will fight to the death to defend their own.”Bilbo interrupted.

“Bilbo Baggins! Elanor!" Gandalf explained and we walked to my uncle's tent.  I had the gems covered and would reveal them at the right time. Bilbo was presented to my uncle the elvenking.

“If I’m not mistaken, this is the halfling who stole the keys to my dungeons from under the nose of my guards and my niece who has fallen in love with the dwarf king.

“Yes. Sorry about that.” Bilbo said. “I came...to give you this.” He revealed the arkenstone.

“The heart of the mountain! The King’s Jewel.”Thranduil said.

“And worth a king’s ransom. How is this yours to give?”Bard asked.

“I took it as my fourteenth share of the treasure.” Bilbo said.

"And what about me? He may give the people of laketown hte gold they need but what about the gems of lasgalen?" Thranduil asked and I revealed it.

"Do you want it? Take it, I'm done seeing the treasures of that mountain sicken the dwarf that I lve with all my heart." I said removing the necklace.

“Why would you do this? You owe us no loyalty.”Bard asked.

"We're not doing it for you. I know that dwarves can be obstinate and pigheaded and difficult, suspicious and secretive…with the worst manners you can possibly imagine, but they also brave and kind...and loyal to a fault. We’ve grown very fond of them, and we would save them if we can.” I said.

“Thorin values this stone above all else. In exchange for its return, I believe he will give you what you are owed. There will be no need for war!”Bilbo exclaimed but who knew what would happen tomorrow.
