Hi guys, it's me here and this is actually my first story! I started it about two weeks ago and were already at over 250 reads (I don't know if that's a lot and I don't care- I'm just super grateful). I love you all and I can't wait for Mira and Klaus' relationship to grow (it's a slow burn but I'm so excited). I've started a few other stories if you want to check them out- but this is my baby so you'll definitely see more updates on this story than my others.

I love you all, and welcome to season 3!!

It turns out a lot had happened during the little deal Stefan made with Klaus.

Klaus had forced Stefan to drink a lot of human blood in order to tempt him back into his old ways- back to when he was the ripper of Monterey. When Stefan had murdered and slaughtered an entire village. No matter how angry Mira was at the fact no one had come to save her, she couldn't help but feel bad for Stefan. He had spent years attempting to get himself back on the right road. Mira knew what this was like- and it made the secret hatred she had for Klaus brew even more.

Mira was no stranger to death- having a hand in it multiple times- however she absolutely hated when she was forced into committing it. Mira liked to kill people when she wanted to, and being forced to kill Rose, who had become somewhat of a friend, and the doppelganger, who she disliked but everyone loved, she couldn't help but feel a little used.

Even though Mira disliked the doppelganger she couldn't help but slightly mourn for her death also. She may have been self-centered and had received all of the love that Mira craved for, but she was still a kid. A seventeen-year-old girl who had her whole life ahead of her. Being the doppelganger made her death inevitable, but she still deserved to know more about life than just death.

Mira wouldn't ever admit it to anyone but she missed Nik so much. The one who took her to fancy restaurants, the one who talked to her about art, who shared his travels, who listened to music with her and who held her hand when she was wearing a blindfold because he didn't want her to trip.

But Nik was Klaus' façade and Mira couldn't help but feel so angry about it. Nik was the first-person Mira had grown to care about that wasn't entangled in the supernatural- but Klaus created him. Destroyed him. Ruined each and every one of their memories.

Mira tried to act nonchalantly towards Klaus but it was obvious she was seething with anger. The rage she felt towards Klaus was incredibly heightened, what with her being a werewolf and all. Every sarcastic mark was backed up by the venom in her voice, and every death he forced her to partake in was met with grumbles and protests and muttered curses.

Katerina had been granted her freedom (somewhat) by Klaus, and Mira had no idea where she was. Mira sent notes to her, like she did with Elijah once, and even though there was never any answer Mira kept sending them. She didn't know whether or not Katerina got them, or if she cared, but Katerina was Mira's friend, so she wanted to keep in contact any way she could.

Even though Klaus had granted her the privilege of using her phone once a week she didn't know Katerina's number. Mira used most of her allocated calls to check in with Caroline and Jenna, sometimes the little Gilbert. They would bond over the loss of the doppelganger and Bonnie- whom Mira was starting to feel the absence of.

The first time Mira got time alone was when Klaus had paid for separate Motels for the three of them. She had let it all out. She screamed and smashed everything she could in sight, tears streaming down her face, the ache and loneliness becoming apparent in her heart and it hurt. When she was woken by Klaus the next day she could tell he was completely baffled by the mess, but she didn't want to talk about it and he didn't ask.
