Nik had instructed Mira to wear something warm and so she did. She picked out a pair of jeans with an oversize jumper that was secretly lined with fluff, making it one of the warmest jumpers she owned. After receiving a cryptic warning from Finn, telling her to be careful around the guy, she made her way outside after Nik texted her that he was waiting for her.

She walked up to him and smiled, taking in his blond, slightly curly hair, and as she looked into his eyes she couldn't help but think there was a devil dancing behind them. He gave her a small smile back and handed her a piece of black cloth.

'And this is..?' she trailed off.

'A blindfold,' Nik said shrugging as Mira raised her eyebrows. 'I want it to be a surprise, love.'

He gently grabbed the piece of cloth from her hands and stood behind her, tying it around her eyes.

'Okay, not to be awkward or anything, but I'm totally gonna have to hold onto your hand if were walking because I'm gonna trip over everything.' And trip over everything she did. They were walking for about 20 minutes, laughing every time Mira almost fell face forwards and talking about everything. Music, art, travelling, history. They seemed to have a lot in common.

When Nik turned them onto a completely different terrain she laughed as she tripped over at almost every step.

'You weren't lying about being clumsy,' Nik smiled.

'Yeah, well,' she said flipping her white hair out of her face. 'It's part of my charm.'

After about 15 minutes, they found their way to a clearing and Mira could hear water running. Nik took her blindfold off and she gasped at the sight. There was trees and beautiful flowers everywhere. A small waterfall was in view and it all looked so peaceful. She smiled and took everything in. Even though she wasn't connected to nature like normal witches were, she couldn't help but marvel at its beauty.

'This is beautiful,' she whispered and that when she noticed the small picnic basket filled with food and a bottle of scotch whiskey. She laughed.

'Well isn't this a surprise,' she said picking up the bottle. '1918 Single Malt,' she said out loud. 'That must've been expensive.'

Nik laughed, 'my family like to collect them.'

After they had eaten, it had gotten dark and cold, and Mira was grateful Nik had told her to dress warm. Taking two glasses from the basket that Nik had packed, he poured them both some of the whiskey. Taking the glass, Mira looked up to the sky. It was a clear night, she had never seen the stars look this bright.

'Isn't it beautiful?' she asked Nik, still staring at the sky, both of them unaware that a third presence was watching them.

'Yes, I think it is.'

Looking at Nik, she realized he was looking at her and she blushed a little, hoping it was concealed in the darkness.

Elijah's eye brows were raised. He'd never seen his brother act this way, and he was still trying to get over his anger over the fact Elena had just daggered him. Elijah expected to be met with darkness, like he always had been. But Elijah had never been daggered during Mira's lifetime and this is the first time he was in an 'Other Side' kind of situation. It made him wonder what was so special about the siphoner that he had come to consider a friend.

'You're quite the romantic Nik,' Mira said, making her way over the where Nik was sitting. She sat down beside him, staring at the waterfall.

'This was my favorite place to come as a child,' he admitted, and, without Mira knowing, every single Mikaelson had come to listen to the story. 'Me and my youngest brother Henrik would come here to do art before he died. He didn't want my mother and father knowing, so I taught him in secret, away from our home.'
