A year later

Wanda: "M, wake up"

McKeyla: "no it's too early"

she digs her face under a pillow 

McKeyla: "it's way to early"

Wanda laughs

Wanda: "it's 12 in the afternoon"

McKeyla: "I want to sleep in"

Wanda kisses McKeyla

Wanda: "come on bubs"

McKeyla groans

McKeyla: "fine"

She sits up

Wanda: "we need to get ready if not we will be late for lunch with your parents and sister"

McKeyla: "who cares if we are a little late"

Wanda: "I care, I don't like being late"

McKeyla groans and Wanda laughs. she kisses McKeyla

Wanda: "come on"

They get ready

Wanda: "m, bubs what's wrong?"

McKeyla: "nothing"

Wanda: "m, I can tell something is up"

McKeyla: "it's just that I feel really awkward when we do these kinds of things with my family"

Wanda: "why?"

McKeyla: "because my parents look so happy together and they have a normal life. Hope and Scott have a perfect and happy life with cassie and I just feel like i don't give you a happy or perfect life"

Wanda sighs

Wanda: "bubs I know that you don't think you do that you make me happy but you do. You've made my life even better now that you came into it. I love you so much"

McKeyla smiles

McKeyla: "love you too"

Wanda: "now come on, we are really going to be late if we don't leave now"

She takes McKeyla's hand and McKeyla laughs

At the restaurant

Hope: "m, you are finally here"

McKeyla: "sorry we are late, we got caught up with something"

Hope: "it's alright"

She hugs McKeyla

Hope: "how have you been? It's been a while since I've seen you"

A couple of months after Wanda and McKeyla started dating they quit the team and moved out of the compound

McKeyla: "I know, and I'm so sorry that i haven't been able to visit you"

Scott: "hey McKeyla"

McKeyla: "hello Scott"

Hope: "how's my sister been doing, Wanda?"

Wanda: "if you mean being a pain in the ass as falling under the good category then she's been good"

McKeyla: "hey"

Everyone laughs

McKeyla: "hi mom and dad"

Janet: "McKeyla why haven't you been visiting as often as you said"

McKeyla: "I know I promise you both I would but I've been busy with work"

Hank: "well you better make up for it"

McKeyla chuckles

McKeyla: "I will dad, I will"

They all talk for a bit

McKeyla: "so Hope, what's it like being a new mom?"

Hope: "it's been challenging. Cassie is such a sweet child but she's a handful at times"

McKeyla: "I wonder who she got it from. Maggie or Scott"

Everyone laughs 

They spend a couple of hours with McKeyla's family and then returned home

Wanda: "want some tea bubs?"

McKeyla: "sure"

Wanda makes some tea while McKeyla stands there mumbling something under her breath

McKeyla: "wands"

Wanda looks up from what she was doing

Wanda: "yes bubs"

McKeyla: "I have something for you"

She walks over to Wanda and pulls something out of her jeans pocket

What she pulled out was a small black box

McKeyla: "here"

She hands the box to Wanda. Wanda opens it and inside was a ring. The ring was gold with an aquamarine gem in the middle of it

McKeyla: "you've brought so much life into my life since I met you. I want to marry you one day so until then, this is a promise"

She gestures to the ring

McKeyla: "this is a promise ring. A promise I will fulfill in the time being"

Wanda: "bubs, this ring is beautiful. Thank you"

She hugs McKeyla and kisses her

Wanda: "when you ask I will say yes"

McKeyla smiles

McKeyla: "I say to celebrate this special little moment, we watch our favorite movie"

Wanda: "sounds great"

McKeyla kisses Wanda's cheek

McKeyla: "nothing in my life is perfect except for you which is the only thing I need"

Wanda giggles

Wanda: "I got so lucky with you"

McKeyla: "no, I did"

they both kiss again
