The Forgotten Sister

Ch 4

Back with the Avengers,

they are all discussing the problem with McKeyla

Steve: "Have you notified your parents?"

Hope: "yes I did. They are going to a safe house. Before then I am going to meet with my dad to get the blueprints on the quantum teleportation device"

Tony: "we need to figure out how we are going to get her. She can cause a lot of harm"

Nat: "well it's not going to be easy considering she can phase through objects and humans"

Hope: "I need to make sure my parents are safe. My sister wants revenge, who knows what she will do to them to achieve that"

Tony: "why isn't there any other information on your sister?"

Hope: "as I said before, my parents didn't want people knowing they had another kid"

She looks at her phone

Hope: "I need to go now if I want to meet my dad in time"

She walks out of the room, 10 minutes later back with McKeyla

Bill: "McKeyla, McKeyla 10 minutes is up come out"

She gets up and walks out of the chamber

Bill: "how do you feel?"

McKeyla: "the same"

Bill: "focus on trying to keep yourself normal try to keep yourself from phasing"

McKeyla focuses and concentrates to keep herself from phasing

Bill:" you got this McKeyla"

She concentrates and she stops phasing, McKeyla looks at her hands to see if she was still phasing

McKeyla: "it worked. it worked!"

She smiles

Bill:" I can't believe it"

McKeyla: "it work-"

All of a sudden she starts to phase again

McKeyla: "ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME"

She tries throwing something but she couldn't pick up anything, her hands were phasing through anything she tried picking up

Bill: "hey hey calm down calm down"

She turns and faces Bill

McKeyla: "DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN I AM IN PAIN EVERY SINGLE DAY. I FEEL EVERY SINGLE ONE OF CELLS RIPPING IN HALF AND GETTING STITCHED BACK TOGETHER OVER AND OVER AND OVER EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF THE DAY. I CAN'T REMEMBER THE LAST DAY I WASN'T IN PAIN"

She starts to phase like crazy

McKeyla: "you'll never understand what it's like to be me, to understand what they did to me after I became this monster, and what they made me do for them"

McKeyla looks down at her hands seeing that she is phasing uncontrollably

McKeyla: "i can't deal with this right now"

She storms out of the room into her bedroom. she slammed the door shut and starts to pace around her room

McKeyla: "come on come on McKeyla. You can do this just concentrate"

She concentrates and she stops phasing again. McKeyla looks at herself in the mirror and smiles. She stopped phasing but after a few moments, starts again

McKeyla:"F*CKING HELL!"

she picks up a glass and throws it at the wall.  McKeyla starts to cry and falls onto her bed

McKeyla: "I just want to be normal.  I just want to be a normal person... is that too much to ask"

The following day McKeyla walks into the kitchen where Bill was 

Bill: "McKeyla. I'm sorry about yesterday. I should be more considerate of how you feel"

McKeyla:" it's fine Bill. Do you need any new items for another chamber or anything?"

Bill: "I need you to get something to upgrade your suit"

McKeyla: "and that is?"

Bill: "this"

He pulls out his laptop and shows McKeyla something on it. it was a small cube 

Bill: "these are gamma-powered energy units"

McKeyla: "and how will that help my suit?"

Bill: "it's a stabilizer and we need more energy to power your suit. The more you phase the more energy the suit uses to help your pain and help you from phasing"

McKeyla: "where do i have to go to get them?"

Bill: "you have to go here,  to Pym Technology"

McKeyla: "you mean Hank Pym technology. My so-called father's old company building"

Bill: "yes I know but its the only place that has them"

McKeyla huffs

McKeyla:" fine but if I see Hope don't expect to see her leave alive"

Bill: "McKeyla"

McKeyla: "I'm being serious if I see her she not leaving alive"

Bill:" you really need to control yourself at times"

McKeyla glartes at bill

McKeyla: "i would watch what you say"

Bill rolls his eyes

McKeyla: "so when do i need to leave?"

Bill: "in an hour"

McKeyla: "and how long do you think this will last?"

Bill: "tops 45 minutes tops"

McKeyla: "sounds good i'll finish it in 20"
