Ch 9

Later

Scott wakes up, tied to a chair. He looks around and sees Hope tied up next to him and someone else

Scott: "Hope. Hope! Hank!"

He thinks to himself

Scott: "what is hank doing here, he's supposed to be in a safe house"

Scott: "guys wake up"

McKeyla appears in front of Scott

McKeyla: "they can't hear you...hi, I'm McKeyla...finally nice to meet you. what was it?"

Scott: "Scott"

McKeyla: "ah you're the Scott Hope takes a liking to"

Scott doesn't say anything. He just looks at McKeyla who was phasing at that moment

Scott: "so, you don't need the suit... To umm go through things"

McKeyla shakes her head

McKeyla: "no I don't... it just helps me control it and the pain, supposedly. Never did though, only kept my identity a secret while I was out on missions or collecting items."

Scott doesn't say anything for a moment, He then speaks up

Scott: "you're not going to through me like last time or you're not going to reach into my chest and crush my heart, are you?"

McKeyla laughs

McKeyla: "no wonder she likes you"

She glances at Hope

McKeyla: "quite the funny man"

She laughs again. McKeyla walks towards Scott and kneels next to him

McKeyla:" I'm not going to hurt you Scott unless I have to... or I may hurt you even if I don't have to. who knows, I'm unpredictable or as your fellow teammates would say... a little psychotic

McKeyla laughs. She runs her hand along the regulator attached to Scott's suit

McKeyla: "I just need whats located in there"

She taps on the regulator and Scott laughs awkwardly. As McKeyla runs her hands along the regulator, her hands start to phase. She looks at her hands and sighs unhappily. McKeyla looks over at Hank and Hope

McKeyla: "let's wake up the rest of the gang and get this over with, shall we"

McKeyla stands up. She walks behind Scott and McKeyla kicks hope's chair

McKeyla: "get up!"

She kicks the chair hank was sitting in

McKeyla: "come on!"

Hope and hank wake up. Hope looks around and sees hank

Hope: "Dad?! You're supposed to be in a safe house"

McKeyla walks in front of the three of them

Hope: "don't ever touch him again"

McKeyla: "now now Hope, I think I'm being rather gentle with your father, all things considered"

Hank looks up at McKeyla

Hank: "McKeyla!?"

McKeyla: "hello hank"

Hank: "hank?!"

McKeyla crouches in front of hank

McKeyla:" what? You expect me to call you dad... aww is someone's feelings hurt"

She laughs

McKeyla: "you were never a father to me and never will be"

Hope: "where's mom"

McKeyla: "oh don't worry, she is safe somewhere... or maybe she isn't... you won't know and that won't be a concern"

??: "are they here?
