The first day.
First day of my internship.

I'm so nervous!

I've been waiting for this my whole life.

I didn't think this day would come.
But it did.
And I can't help but scream and jump for joy.

This morning I woke up even without an alarm clock.
Which is magic!

God I'm so nervous.

I've tried to eat as much breakfast as possible, but the anxiety doesn't help me.
I don't want to mess up anything but that's my specialty!

I try to make myself presentable.
I take a shower and wash my hair, put it in a ponytail that is not too high, not too low, with two small locks that fall on the forehead.
I put on some makeup and perfume, not too strong.

I dress trying to be casual but suitable for the situation.

I put on a pair of comfortable shoes, I wear small shiny earrings, I take the keys of my car and I am ready!

Ready for this new chapter of my life.

"Please don't ruin everything" I say to myself.

I didn't realize until now that my life is really about to change.

I didn't think those words would come true sooner or later.
Also because even those who said them did not believe it.

But it happened!
And I can't wait to find out what's next.

I park the car and head to the hospital, stopping at the desk at the entrance.

"Hi how can I help you? Are you looking for a patient?" the lady behind the desk asks me.

"Um..hello, no actually I'm Abigail Anderson, I'm one of the new interns" I tell the lady behind the desk.

She looks at me and her face went in an expression of confusion and surprise.

"Oh, yeah, second floor, go straight when the elevator door opens and then turn right" she informs me.

"Thanks" I smile before turning around ready to leave.

"Um sorry? Can I ask you something?" She stops me.

I was already worrying.
This is a good day. Nothing can ruin it.

"Er ... sure," I say uncertainly.

"Aren't you young to be an intern? How old are you?" she asks curiously.

I smile.

"Well ... I just turned 20, thanks but I have to go" I say as I run to the elevator before I can be late.

Remember the first lesson.

I tried to follow the path that the lady at the reception had indicated to me until I found myself in front of a mass of guys entering a locker room ....

So I follow them.

Follow the crowd Abby, when you don't know follow the crowd.

I enter this locker room only to be overwhelmed by at least twenty guys who were changing their shirts ....

A paradise you will think.

Well maybe a little ... but embarrassing ... but focus Abigail.

Stay focused.
