You can't swim? (haru x reader)

You were sitting down at Iwatobi High's pool, watching your boyfriend as he swam.

You saw how much he loved water just from how he swam in it, soaking up every last minute he could in the pool. You smiled.

You decided to sit on the edge of the pool and put your legs in the water, kicking lightly as you watched. He swam up to you and stuck his head out of the water.

"Why don't you get in?" He asked, resulting in you shaking your head. He lightly gripped your legs and pulled himself up until his shoulders were out of the water. You smiled at him.

"Babe, no." You said, finally. He gave you pleading eyes.

"But why?" He asked, making you blush out of embarrassment. You looked away.

"Because.. I can't swim.." You mumbled the last part.

"What? I couldn't hear you." He said, shifting his head over so that you could see him.

"Because I can't swim! Happy?" You said, turning red.

"You can't swim?" He asked, making you roll your eyes.

"No.. I never tried. I was always scared to." You said, not making eye contact with him. He tugged on your legs lightly.

"Want me to teach you? I taught Rei." He said, causing you to grow uncertain.

"I don't know.. Are you sure?" You asked. He nodded and you could've sworn you saw a small smile appear on his lips.

You got up and pulled your shirt off, since you had brought a bikini just incase you fell in or something.

You climbed in the cool water through the ladder. Your heart beat shot up when you realized you got in the deep end, and you couldn't touch the bottom.

A pair of arms met your waist and held you above the water, slowly pushing you to the shallow section of the pool.

You turned your head to see Haru guiding you through the water until you could finally touch with your head above the water. He had determination in his eyes.

You were able to touch and you just stood there in the water, moving your arms slightly.

"Okay so now what?" You asked.

"You're going to learn how to swim freestyle." He said.

You rolled your eyes. "Why? Because you only swim free?" You asked.

"Because you're my girlfriend and I want you to learn how I swim." He said, as a shade of red formed on your cheeks.

"Fine. How do I swim freestyle?" You ask.

He demonstrates by moving his arms in a windmill motion, sliding his arms through the water while moving his head side to side. You nodded, taking in the information.

"Now float on your stomach." He instructed, holding you on the surface. You moved your arms the way he showed you, sliding your hands through the water.

You kept swimming, not even noticing that he had let go of you, until you hit the side of the pool.

You flinched and stood up, holding your forehead. Haru swam over to you.

"Ah.. I hit my head. Am I bleeding?" You asked, showing him where you hit your head. He raised his face up and planted a light kiss on your forehead, causing you to blush.

"You're okay. How was that?" He asked. You smiled sheepishly.

"I swam! It was awesome!" You said, wrapping your arms around his neck.

"I'm glad you had fun." He laughed at you behavior. You kissed him on the cheek.

"I wanna go again." You said. "I'll race ya."

"Ha. I'd like to see you try." He said, smiling.
