Desperation 7

G's Point of View:

Pabalik na kami sa hotel. He told me on the way na he booked me a room. The girl officers are staying in one room and so are the boys. I cannot stay with either of their group even if the other choice means to be with RC. I am desperate but maybe, not that pathetic.

Kinikilig ako sa paraan ng pakikipag-usap niya sa'kin. Hindi niya ako sinusungitan. Nahulog na yata ang loob sa'kin. Haha. Kapal ng mukha ko. Well, wala namang masama kung umasa. I mean, the danger's on me so why should everyone care. Duh!

"Don't you want to get in?" nanunudyong tanong ko sa kanya. I must have said it in a playful tone because his face said so. He seemed a little flushed or it could be just my imagination.

"I think you should just check the room later because you still haven't taken your dinner, remember?"

"I want to check it now."

"You still have to go shopping too," he reminded, not looking at me.

"Duh."

"Look, G. I think you really have to go. I just wanted to let you know where your room is para makapagpahinga ka na pagkabalik niyo."

Kumunot ang noo ko. I even echoed his voice in my head to make sure na tama ang narinig ko.

"Niyo?"

"Ah, huh? Yup. Pinapasamahan kita kay JR. He's probably in the car already waiting for you."

What? He won't drive me to buy my personal things? He won't accompany me to dinner himself? What? No! Is he out of his mind? It's not the way I planned things to happen! And I am never letting this happen! Never.

Come on, G! Paganahin mo ang utak mo kahit ngayon lang!

"You said you're buying me dinner? Why am I going now with someone else?"

"Look—"

"Uuwi nalang ako kaysa sumama sa taong yon!" prankang wika ko na nagpahinga sa kanya ng malalim.

"Why not?" he asked afterwards, making me shot him a glare. "Wait? Does it make you uncomfortable to go with him?"

"Duh, like obviously! Ghaaad!"

"You like him?"

"What?" Halos lumuwa na 'yong eyeballs ko. Baliw ba siya? "Am I supposed to like him?"

He shrugged which annoyed me even more. At that point, parang gusto ko siyang tadyakan. Nakakabwesit!

"Are crazy? Is he even likeable? I mean, what's so likeable about that bummer?"

"He's handsome."

"Ah?" I stifled a fake laugh and ended it quickly to glare at him. "You go with him then!" sigaw ko saka mabilis na sinara ang pinto.

"Jr is waiting downstairs, G!" aniya mula sa labas ng pinto na sobrang nagpaasar sa'kin. I could explode any moment sa ginagawa niya. "Open the door. Come on!"

"I hate you!" sigaw ko matapos buksan ang pinto. I saw his side smirk and that just got me really pissed off that I stormed away from him. Sumunod naman siya agad.

"So you really like him huh? Honestly, you'd make a great pair," he continued being totally annoying.

"Stop talking crazy, will you?" bulyaw ko nang nasa tapat na ako ng elevator. Everything's going up kaya mabilis na hinanap ko ang daan sa staircase.

"You are pretty and he is handsome."

"But you are more handsome. I mean, you are the most handsome! Walang kahit na sinong makakapalit sa'yo sa puso ko! Kahit ano pa ang mangyari, everything is finalized. You are the only person I am going to fall in love with!" I couldn't say it out loud although my mind wanted to be heard. Napatitig lang ako kay RC na parang tangang pulang-pula ang mukha sa inis.
