My art style has been influenced by Disney animated films and Japanese anime. This one is a fanart dedicated to one of my favorite Wattpad books, "Project Loki." (From upper right to lower right: Loki, Lorelei, Alistair and Jaime)

Back in the day, I always dreamt of entering the animation industry (particularly as a character designer). I know that my passion lies in the arts. In college, my eyes were set on Walt Disney Studios (all thanks to "Frozen").
However, that all changed after my third year of college. I realized how hard it is to actually be in the industry. Everything I learned in class weren't going to be useful once I step into the real world (we were mostly taught 2D animation using "Adob Flash/Animate CC"). Many studios nowadays use CGI.
Plus, a lot of animators are always underpaid, overworked and lack creative control. I can make decent illustrations anytime but drawing each single frame to create movements felt tedious to me. Unlike graphic novels or comics, you can have multiple panels or wacky expressions to depict that.
I still have a soft spot for animation and do wish to learn it once I could afford a huge Wacom Cintiq in the future.

The next two chapters are going showcase my top favorite books ...
