Too Dark...

Chapter 8 Recruit

A mild gas came into the room and everything else was a blur. But when I was passed out I had a dream and it wasn't the same one as before. It was Nat and Devin. Nat was screaming and saying
"Get away from me! You're a poser! A cheat! You hurt my sister! And broke us! Just like your brother did! I regret ever loving you!"
He said.
"Look...Nat...I did it for a reason.. Me and Cici had a plan. I can't tell you now because the security cameras are here. But you have to trust me Nat..I never stopped loving you while I quote on quote "worked for them.
"I was constantly thinking about you and sometimes Cici because I felt bad."
"You're such a jerk...."
She started to tear up.
"I don't care what you think...NATALIE PHILLIPS! I LOVE YOU!"

She cried even more and he leaned in and hugged her titly. She said
"I couldn't stop thinking of you... I missed you so much." She cried even more and I saw him cry a bit too but I could tell he was trying to look cool so she wouldn't notice. She did though. I then woke up. Apparently it wasn't a dream because it was happening right before me. I couldn't help but say
"Aweee."
They both quickly turned around all blushing and embarrassed.

After a few hours we had lunch. We all formed a line and Nat and Devin were together again so they were holding hands in line. When we walked in the room we saw Cici all healed and had only a few bandages around one of her wrists, her shoulder, chest, and one of her ankles. Devin kept his head down while Nat ran towards her. She yelled
"SIS!!!!"
She hugged her really tight.
"ARE YOU OK?!? WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!?!?! YOUR SUCH AN IDIOT!!! I LOVE U SO MUCH SIS!"
Cici then said
"Ok ok your hugging hurts."
Nat backed up a bit. Cici looked a bit different, her eyes looked very sleepy and she had pretty big eye bags. Honestly everything about her seemed like she had no sleep. Even the way she talked.
"Devin."
She said, in a low and forgiving voice.

Devin looked up slowly to see Cici. I'm guessing when he saw her more closely he was sad because he looked super sad when he looked up.
"Chels..."
Wait, Chels? I need to ask Cici her real name..
"Dev, it's ok. We both know why. You did what you had to do."
"I'm sorry."
"You guys are back together?"
Nat then said
"Yeah actually."
Cici had a somewhat smile.
"Heh! Good I love you guys together ever since we were kids."

"Hey uh guys could I eat my lunch alone today?"
She asked.
"B-but" Nat stuttered.
"Come on, give her some space."
Devin said. I kinda just watched Cici the whole time. Is this what a stalker feels like... Nat and Devin went over to Angel and Ryan and they started to talk. Evan and Zane were always talking. Zane got up and walked over to Cici. Cici put her head up to see Zane and she tried to smile a bit. Zane took a seat next to her. I could hear only parts of their conversation.
"Hey."
Zane said.
"Hey Zane."
She said, It seemed a bit awkward though.
"Cici.. Are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm fine, don't worry about me."

She tried to smile again.
"I know you're not ok. You can't even smile correctly." She looked down again, all sad looking.
"I'm really fine Zane now please I just need a moment to myself."
"You had all that time in the hospital to be alone." "Please Zane, I need a break."
"What happened there?"
I saw the frustration grow on her face while keeping her sad look at the same time.
"Zane i-"
"Cici does it seem like I am NOT making you. Tell me it's not a question, answer me-"
"Please Zane..."
Zane started to actually shed tears but she couldn't see because she kept her head down.

"Cici please."
Zane said. He grabbed her good shoulder. I'm supposing it hurt sense she said
"Ow Zane that hurts."
She looked up to see him crying. She looked sadier now. She hugged him titly.
"You're such a good friend."
Zanes' emotion changed a bit, and said,
"Yea..a...friend"
"I'll tell you later but I'm in pain right now. I just want to be alone for a few."
She tried to let go of the hug but he held her tight. We all heard a crack.
"OW!!! Zane please stop. That hurt really bad!"
Zane let go a bit but still held her.
"Zane..."
"Cici. I won't stop, I'm always here. You know that. I won't let go." He looked up at her and said again
"I wont.."
