66. Rebuild

As everyone was now gathered in the courtyard Pa gasped drawing attention to himself as he turned to me.

"What?" I asked confused

"It's your birthday." He whispered

"No it's not." I shook my head looking around and everyone slowly seem to nod in agreement

"Star, it is definitely your birthday dear." Molly whispered

"Huh, some birthday." I sighed looking around at the ruins of the castle and everyone muttered sounds of agreement

"I actually have something that might make it better..." Ron said from behind me and I turned around to see him in one knee

"Ron..." I gasped looking around to see Pa excitedly slapping moo's arm as he jumped up and down, Draco doing a similar thing to Harry

"Star Lupin-Black, when I first met you at the beginning of third year I thought you were the coolest person in the world and I'm gonna be honest I talked about you constantly to anyone who would listen. Often driving the boys in my dorm mad, but I didn't care because there was something about you that I just couldn't get out of my head. I even went to the twins and asked them how to talk to you which explains the day I wore so much cologne that I made you sick, Merlin I felt so bad about that. Then I tried to make you cookies to make up for it and you got food poisoning so I blamed it on Harry but really it was me. Then you got a boyfriend and I wanted to hate him so bad truly I tried. But then I saw they way you smiled when he walked into the room, I wanted you to look at me like that but I knew you were happy so I never said anything. And when you finally did look at me like that, I was a git and I dated someone else instead because i didn't think I deserved you. End the end the day I asked you to be my girlfriend was one of the happiest days of my life, and I know we haven't been together very long but I know that I want to be with you for the rest of my life....so Star, will you marry me?" He asked holding my hands and I nodded pulling him to his feet so I could hug him

"I love you so much." I smiled as everyone cheered

In the weeks that followed the war. Wizards and Witches came together to help rebuild Hogwarts, there was even a hall designated to the portraits of those lost in not only this way but the first one to. Those portraits being painted by Dean, Luna, Blaise, and myself. Harry instead of getting rid of the elder wand gifted it to McGonagal who used it to strip 12 Grimmauld Place of the curses set by Walburga Black before she locked it away in her office.

With 12 Grimmauld curse free Pa and I decided that we would buy the neighboring houses along the street as the street was no vacant due to Muggle's thinking it was haunted or whatever. And we turned the place into a safe haven for wizarding children who didn't have any where else to go.

Draco did end up inheriting the Malfoy manor after his father was imprisoned and he mother moved to France in an effort to create a new name for himself leaving everything to him including the money in the Lestrange vault that Bellatrix had left her. Draco then decided that hating the memories in the manor he 'sold it' to Molly. Telling her she could have it since most of us go over to the Weasleys for dinner at least once a week the burrow would soon be far to small and she agree only if we all promised to help her redecorate.

Pa and Moo stayed in the Lupin cottage with was on a very large piece of land and Pa expanded to property giving moo ample space to run in the forest during full moons as the perimeter hand a 15 foot privacy fence.

Bill and Fleur said in she'll cottage and continued to work for the now growing and improving Ministry

Fred, George, Lee, and Hermione lived in the large three bedroom flat above the joke shop that was currently working to expand its locations
