GROANING SOFTLY, JAEDEN PROMPTLY GOT up from his bed and picked up his phone from his night stand, rubbing his eyes as he carelessly accepted the facetime call from his good friend, who for some reason was calling him at three in the morning.

"you up?" lauren sniffled, wiping her tears on her blanket causing jaeden to furrow his eyebrows before nodding, replying to her with

"yeah i am. are you okay? why are you crying?"

"i'm — i'm not alright. i've been watching compilations of owners talking to their dogs before putting them down and i've been crying for an hour now" she rambled as her tears continued to fall, she reached over for the glass of water on her nightstand while jaeden simply grumbled in response, saying

"it's three in the morning"

"i know"

"don't you have a boyfriend you can call?"

"yeah but he's a heavy sleeper and it's hard to wake him up. he sleeps at eleven like a fucking weirdo. beth's talking to jill, audrey's talking to wyatt, and justin kicked me out of his room. i have no one!"

"you called me. at three in the morning. because you're crying over video compilations?"

"i really would've appreciated some words of comfort. but whatever are you coming over tomorrow?"

"do you want me to?"

"yeah..."

"great i'll see you tomorrow then. can i go back to bed now?"

"yeah you can. night night!"

the blonde hung up right after that making jaeden chuckle softly before shaking his head as he plugged his charger back in and turned off his phone. he got back under the covers, rolling over in bed with a smile still spread across his lips before mumbling a quiet

"she's so cute"

then closing his eyes soon after, drifting off to bed.
