4. Rudrayani's bestfriend

Rudrayani's point of view

"I think school bell has rang", said Ranvijay. Before we could miss our class I thought we should get going.
I quickly said " bye bye Raksha.. it's time for us to go to school. "

And after bidding bye to our parents, I pulled Ranvijay to the class.
"Come on Ranvijay, we are late. We are in the same class no? You know our class teacher is so strict. Today there will be only four classes. And then after recess only one class is there". In class I wanted to make Ranvijay my bench partner so I pulled him towards our seat in class.

In the formal introduction, teacher introduced him as Yuvraj Ranvijay Pratap Singh Rathore. He seem a little startled. But I smiled at him to give confidence. He smiled back. And he met all our classmates.

Classes started. He asked me to help him find the lesson page in the book and to catch up with the recent lesson. The first four class sessions went very smoothly. As Ranvijay was easily grasping every thing quickly. In recess, I took him to my favorite spot for our lunch together. I was telling him about the drawings I made recently and he really looked like he was interested in my drawings. I really felt very great that my friend likes to listen to me. The last session was also over.

And school finished for the day. We came out of the school gate together. I looked here and there, and said, " himmat kaka is here to take me back home. I think I should leave." And I looked up to him. I don't know but I felt I needed the approval of him to see him off and go home. Looking at me he asked, "tomorrow, let's meet at school gate? And we will go to class together...What say?" I replied, " of course. I will wait for you. Bye Ranvijay." And I left from school.

I reached home and I went straight to my dadisa. Dadisa was expecting the same old complaints that I don't like the school. To her surprise I said, " you know what dadisa, I got a new friend today. He is very nice. He is new to school. Oh ! And yes I also got a special friend. "
"Oh oh. Ok. Princess, take breath. (Shows how to take deep breath & Rudrayani imitates) Ha... now tell me everything. " And I started telling dadisa about Ranvijay and Raksha also and what all happened in the whole day.

Now, to listen what I did all day long, maasa and babasa also joined with dadisa.
"So may I know, who this new friend Ranvijay is? And who is Raksha? " asked dadisa.

Maasa and babasa chuckled. Maasa said, " Our princess bunny's new friend is son of Ratan's friend. He is the son of Pratap Singh Rathore. He is the Yuvraj of Jaigarh riyasat. And princess Raksha is his younger sister." My dadisa looked impressed with someone other than our family and riyasat. I was happy my friend was able to make a place in my dadisa 's heart. Now babasa was telling dadisa how his old best friend met him today. Dadisa really seem to like Ranvijay's family. A Maid brought me some snacks. And after finishing my snacks in dadisa's suite, I went to my room to change.

There was no home work for today. Tomorrow's classes were horse riding and fencing. Being royal these two classes were compulsory. Well I did like fencing but I was not good at it. In stead of fencing I will learn archery in next class. I hope Ranvijay does perform good at tomorrow's classes. Thinking about my friend I was sure he is very calm. He observes more than he speaks. But He only speaks when needed. But he listens to me wholeheartedly. I am very much sure that he likes to listen to me.

Everyday I come home with sad mood as my mean classmates tease me and none of them were my friends. But today was different. Not only I got a friend but he is very good to me. I am now very excited to go to school tomorrow. I wanted sun to rise earlier so as I could meet my friend earlier.
