that fleeting moment at 4 am

when I'm shaken from a deep sleep

cause I can't feel your skin against mine,

when my entire body hangs

suspended

in that silver sliver of time,

is a tiny speck of fear

that reminds me,

that I think I might love you,

when you turn over,

and kiss my neck.

two feet of space,

or 3455 miles,

any distance is too much to bear.
