Chapter 14

Sonia's pov: day one

I woke up early to make breakfast for everyone & put one or two things together. I really hope they all have enough rest today & not have any issues.

After preparing breakfast, I decided to check on yibo & zhange only to opened the door to see Jiyang touching zhanges face so tenderly that it gave me goosebumps.

"What are you doing here so early?" I asked suspiciously.

"Just checking on zhanges to see if there's any changes. Am his doctor after all" he replied me smiling.

That makes sense but why do I get this feeling that there's more to what he was doing before I came in?

"Jiyang is acting weird"

Those words suddenly echoed in my mind making me look at Jiyang with more suspicion but I had to mask that feeling somehow so he doesn't feel threatened by me.

"Sorry to say this but yibo is a very light sleeper. so how come he's still sleeping like a log even with how loud my voice is?" I asked him now looking at yibo who looks like he's in a deep sleep with concern.

"Umm.... Promise you won't get mad at what am about to tell you" he said now looking at me with pleading eyes.

"It depends but spill now" I replied him.

"I kinda mixed his last night dinner & medications together. Am surprised he didn't notice & in my defense, I only did that because he keeps throwing his medications away through the window!!!" He said.

"That explains why he's still sleeping at this hour" I replied him slightly smiling. Maybe am just overthinking everything.

"Any changes?" I asked him hopefully.

"Nothing yet but he's responding to treatment. That's a relief if you ask me" he replied.

"A good one too" I said.

"Can you do me a favor please?" He asked looking at me with puppy eyes.

"Not the puppy eyes trick!! Am not falling for that" I giggled at his childish behavior which earned a laugh from him.

"Please!!" He continued to which I finally listened to his request.

"Can you please not tell James nor yibo about me training you on how to use a gun?" He asked me. Honestly am shocked but still curious why I shouldn't tell my own husband about something like this. It's not like I killed anyone right?

"I know you have many questions but I promise to answer everyone of them if you too promise to keep everything I tell & do a secret" he added looking serious.

"Jiyang what's going on?" I asked him looking worried. Is he in trouble? If yes then we need to get help!

"Let's talk somewhere more private" he replied me & that is how I found myself in his own office.

An hour later.

"Surprised right?" He asked me smiling.

"Am speechless!! Jiyang we need to tell the others!" I replied him seriously.

"We can't do that for now. Are you in?" He asked me looking hopeful.

In? This is all too much for me to take in all at once. Should I be a part of all of this?

"You have until the end of today to submit your answer. Whatever you decide I promise to stick to you like glue no matter what" he said smiling.

No one's pov

"Why didn't you wake me up. The bed felt so lonely without you" James who just woke up said as he back hugged his wife pouting.

"I didn't want to ruin your sleep & beside, you look really cute with your mouth slightly open" she replied him smiling.

"What? It's a miracle he didn't drool over you" yibo who just entered the dinning said as he laughed at James reaction.

"Don't you dare yibo" James yelled at him.

"Oh I will! Sonia when we were in college he would always cling to either me or Jiyang like a baby. He would drool over......hmmmmmm....." James quickly covered yibos mouth with his hands as he watched Sonia & Jiyang who just entered the room laughing.

"Old times I will never forget. Yibo remember that one time he almost jumped out through the window when Yang's pet cockroch learnt how to fly!!" Jiyang said which made yibo bite James hands so he could laugh to his heart content.

"Wow!! Anything else I need to know" Sonia replied as she laughed.

"It's still hard to believe how far you've come James. You are no longer that baby who runs around in diapers but now a man who is the best at doing whatever he sets his mind on" yibo said .

"Since we are now sharing embarrassing things then what about you Jiyang who wore pajamas to class!" James said which earned another round of laughter.

"Really Jiyang?" Sonia asked.

"It was a dare!!!! & Yibo is to blame for that" Jiyang replied.

"Why blame this innocent soul?" Yibo asked with baby voice.

"Innocent soul my foot! We both know that you were the one who sprayed the principles car,boggy trapped his office & even set the fire alarm just because you thought the class was boring" Jiyang said.

"Yibo!!!" Sonia yelled surprised.

"Not my fault if you ask me the class was just too boring!!" Yibo defended himself.

"He was a gangster by actions & an angel by heart" James added as everyone laughed.

"Awww.... you guys are looking so cute right now" Sonia said as she quickly took a photo before any of them could protest.

"Let's eat then" Jiyang yelled & quickly started eating.

"You & Food!!!!" James & yibo said at the same time.

"This is so delicious" Jiyang moaned as he continued eating.

"You are right Jiyang. Thanks for making breakfast" yibo & James said now eating.

"Silly am glad you all liked it" Sonia replied & focused on eating.

"Um yibo......I love your appetite this morning..." James said as he noticed how fast yibo is eating while smiling.

"I really don't know but am feeling really hungry like I haven't eaten for days" yibo replied.Sonia looked at Jiyang & he just shrugged his shoulders smiling.
