Arabella

I just climbed into bed when a frantic knock on my door startled me. My hand was still giving me grief. It hurts so fucking much.

I shot out of bed, to answer the door. Standing there was Evelyn looking pale with tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong?"

"It's Massimo," she started to say, but she was sobbing.

"Massimo? What about him? What's wrong Evelyn?"

"He got into an accident..."

I feel the blood drain on my face, and I grabbed on the door handle for support. Oh god! Please no, not Massimo. Oh god, this is all my fault.

"He's at the UCLA. I called his parents and informed them. They are on their way."

"I have to go. Please Lia... She..."

"I've got her. Don't worry I'll take care of her. Take Garrett with you, you can't drive in this state," she said.

I nodded numbly.

Tears were continuously falling on my face, as I looked out the window. It feels like it's taking forever to get there, and I don't even know what to expect when I do get there.

"We're here Miss Ara," Garrett said, bringing me back from my thoughts.

"Thanks," I said quickly. I jumped out of the car and went inside the hospital. I went to the reception quickly.

"Massimo Anastasi, he was in an accident, please, tell me where he is!" I said frantically.

"Are you family?" She asked.

Who cares! I almost yelled but bit my tongue. "I'm his fiancé," I said without thinking twice.

"He's in the emergency room right now Ma'm. He has lost a lot of blood. The doctor's are doing everything they can. That's all the information I have for you right now. You're welcome to wait in the waiting room. A couple of gentlemen are in there as well," she said.

I nodded numbly. All I could see is Massimo's face. Oh god, he has to be okay. The pain I feel due to my attempt at hurting Massimo was nothing compared to the pain I feel, not knowing if Massimo is okay. I feel like my heart has been ripped out of me, every time I think that I could lose Massimo.

"Let me take you to the waiting room Ma'm," she said.

"Thank you," I whispered.

She was right, there were two men waiting, looking disheveled. I wonder who they are.

They looked my way. Question in their eyes, then they looked at each other and had a silent conversation between them. They looked back at me.

Ok...that was weird. What was that about?

One man walked towards me, and thanked the nurse. "Thank you," he said. His voice sounds familiar.

"Hi, I'm Marco Castellanos. We spoke on the phone before. You must be Arabella," he said.

"Please call me Ara. How did you know it was me?" I asked.

He simply shrugged his shoulders as if that explains how he knew it was me.

"This is Jason Bradley Henderson the third," he pointed to the other man, earning a glare from the man.

He stepped forward and held his hand out. "Hi, nice to finally meet you, please call me Jason, though I hoped it was under different circumstances," he said.
