My jaw dropped. "You like Wes? Really?"

She nodded. "Yeah..."

"Why do you sound so unsure about it?"

"Because I can't help but feel like I'm making a mistake. We told each other we'd never be more than friends. But now I like him, and it's clear that he doesn't feel the same way about me."

I looked right into her eyes. "Kaylee, don't think like that. I'm sure he'll feel the same way at some point. It might not be now, but I bet it will be soon. He'll come around."

"You're literally the best friend anyone could ask for. Thank you," she said, giving me a hug.

I hugged her back. "I'm always here for you, no matter what's going on." We pulled apart. "So, how long have you liked Wes for, anyway?"

"Like, two weeks. I was gonna tell you sooner or later, but now you know, so, yeah. But don't tell anyone."

"I won't, you know that," I said. "Are you gonna tell Keaton or Drew?"

"Maybe Keaton, but definitely not Drew. Even if he swears to secrecy, everything he finds out goes straight back to Wes. I don't trust that he won't tell."

"Yeah, you're right. But I still think you should tell Keaton. He knows Wes better than anyone, and he could help you out with this."

"I guess. But how am I supposed to look him in the eye and tell him I like his brother?" she pointed out, letting out a chuckle.

I laughed a bit. "I told Wes that I liked Keaton way back whenever that was."

"Eh, I don't feel like it, anyway. You tell him."

I sighed, letting out a chuckle. "Fine." With that, we went back inside.

When I went back inside, I started looking for Keaton. I needed to tell him about Kaylee while everything she had told me was fresh in my mind. I spotted him talking to Breezie. She started to walk away from him, which I took as my opportunity to talk to him.

I walked over to him. He smiled when he saw me. "Hey, baby," he said, placing a kiss on the top of my head.

"Hey," I replied. "Can we talk upstairs for a minute? It's important."

He looked a bit worried. "Should I be concerned?"

"No, it's just something I need to tell you. It's not about either of us, but a certain person asked me to tell you."

"Alright, let's go," he said, heading for the back stairwell. We didn't want anyone to follow us upstairs, so we went up that stairwell instead.

We went into his room. He sat down on the bed, and I did the same. "So, what's up? What did you want to tell me?"

"Alright, you're not allowed to judge this person for this, okay?" I said, letting out a chuckle.

He laughed a bit. "I won't."

"Kaylee likes Wes."

"Oh, God. I knew this was coming at some point," he said, letting out a small chuckle. "When did she tell you?"

"Like, five minutes ago outside. She's upset that he hasn't been paying attention to her all night. She thinks he likes Carly, since he's been with her all night."

"Well, I can 100 percent guarantee that he doesn't like Carly. He said he would never think of her as more than a friend. But he needs to stop being an idiot and spend some time with Kaylee."

"Wait, I have an idea," I said. "I'll go steal Carly away from Wes, and then you can tell him to go find Kaylee."

"Sounds like a plan," he said.

Later on, I was having a conversation with Breezie. We weren't really talking about anything specific, it was just one of those conversations that kept getting led on.

"So, what did you get me for Christmas?" she asked, in a joking tone.

I chuckled. "You'll find out tomorrow."

"I know what some people are getting you, but I won't say who."

"The idiots, I'm assuming."

"If you mean my brothers, then yes. But I will not tell you. All I can tell you is that you'll definitely have a good day tomorrow." She pulled out her phone, reading something on the screen. "I gotta go talk to my mom, so if I don't see you again before tomorrow, Merry Christmas bitch."

I laughed. "Right back at you."

She walked away, leaving me alone. Just then, someone covered my eyes with their hands from behind. "Keaton, go away," I said, sarcasm in my tone.

"Nah, I'm good," he joked, taking his hands off my eyes. "I have to tell you a secret."

"What is it?" I asked.

"I love you." He placed a kiss on my cheek.

I smiled. "I love you too, even though that was so cliche."

He chuckled. "I know, but you still liked it."

"True fact right there." I pulled out my phone, checking the time. It was a little past one in the morning. My mom had told me to be home by two, so I decided I was going to leave. Besides, I was getting more tired by the minute.

"It's getting late, I think I'm gonna head home," I said.

"Do you want me to walk you home?" he offered.

"No, you don't need to. You should stay here and talk to people."

"This party's getting boring, so I'm coming with you whether you like it or not."

I chuckled. "Alright."

We went out the door and walked down the street. "Did you have fun tonight?" he asked, intertwining our fingers.

"Yeah, it was fun. Well, aside from all that shit with Wes and Kaylee. But other than that, it was good," I replied.

"We gotta work that all out soon. I'm gonna talk to Wes at some point, but I won't tell him about Kaylee."

"Good. She'll kill us if he finds out."

We arrived at my house a few minutes later. Keaton walked up to the door with me before dropping his hand from mine. "Good night, Chlo," he said, giving me a hug.

I hugged him back. "Night."

He kissed the top of my head before breaking the hug. "Text me when you get up, okay?"

"I will."

"Oh, and Merry Christmas," he said, letting out a small chuckle. "Love you."
