'I am never letting you go. Ever. Ever.' Rae shook ger head, tears forming in her eyes. 'You're always going to be there with me, and I'm not letting you out of my sight for even a second.'

She hugged Mika, wiping her tears and Mika looked at Rae with utter confusion. Rae had wrapped her arms around him and sniffed as she buried her face in his white fur, thankful that Mika was now all fine and back to normal.

Mika was discharged the very next morning and all though Rae was tired by being awake the entire night, she sped like the Flash when Mika was informed to be okay and well again.

Currently, Rae was back at Imane's house, just holding her precious dog and crying while Imane walked in on the duo. The crew had returned early morning, and not only was Imane surprised by the fact that Rae spend her night at James, she was absolutely furious that Mika was hospitalized without she being informed.

The rest of them were too tired and sleepy to react, but Janet did manage to shake her head in disapproval before she passed out on their bed.

'Rae, he's scared. Leave him.' Imane spoke, curtly, as she sat from across them. 'He's probably wondering how upset he's making you.'

Mika sniffed Rae's face, licking her salty tears and Rae chuckled. She cuddled with him, putting him at ease while he sat on her lap, resting peacefully.

'Oh, Imane, you've no fucking idea how traumatic and disturbingly adventurous this weekend was.' She complained, tying her hair in a loose bun while Imane sipped her coffee, eyeing the girl.

On getting no response from Imane, Rae looked at her, tilting her head. 'Please don't tell me you're actually upset?'

'Kinda.' Imane replied, as Rae picked her heavy dog and sat across from Imane on the sofa, Mika refusing to leave his mom. 'But, I am so upset on myself for not being there. It must've been shit scary.'

'You've no idea.' Rae sighed, remembering the horrible night. She was certain that memory was etched in her mind forever now. 'I died that night.'

Imane pouted, as she enveloped Rae in a side hug, keeping her head on Rae's. 'Aww, boo. I am so glad James was with you.'

Rae smiled, shutting her eyes as she hugged Poki back and gladly acknowledged that remark. She would've gotten either a panic attack or a cardiac arrest that night if James hadn't handled her well. She owed him not only Mika's life, but hers too.

And now of course, she owed him her heart.

They broke the hug and Imane happened to raise her brow at the nice warm smile Rae radiated and she smiled back at her. 'I see, so all someone has to do to gain Valkyrae's heart is to save her dog?'

Rae chuckled, her mouth ajar in surprise. 'What do you mean?'

Inane rolled her eyes, 'Pfft, bitch you know what I mean.' Rae narrowed her gaze at her best friend, 'Don't look at me, you have that happy, fallen in love glow on your face and the fact that you smell so different.' Imane sniffed again inching closer as Rae tsked. 'It's more like...'

'Woody cabin in the hills.' Rae completed for her with a silly smile.

'Wow.' Imane kept the mug aside, clasping her hands in absolute delight as she faced Rae. 'So you've finally confessed that you love him?'
