I told Keerthi about everything happened except the last part, or else she will go to cloud nine and hyped mode which is not a good combination

"So your next date is in the stadium, I'm so excited for it!" She exclaimed
"No, no it's not a date"
"Yeah yeah, lie like that"
"I'm going to sleep" I told and went back to my room and layed on my bed with a sigh
There was some kind of relieve talking to him after a long time.
He has grown up to be a handsome man
He used to trim those small baby hairs, which were making their way out, but now it is a full grown beard, I chuckled to myself thinking about it
His sparkling eyes have became more vivid and sparkling now
He was always taller than me even during high school, but now he is way more taller, that I have to look up to see him
And lastly, all these years of playing cricket has made his hands stronger, I felt it when he catched me while I slipped
A lot of things have changed
I switched off the light and closed my eyes

"Thank you for bringing my favorite cake Lily" Rahul told with joy
"I also bought you cake" some voice told from behind, I have heard it somewhere
The girl, it's Pooja
"Thanks Pooja" he told to her and turned to me
"Lily I'm sorry, I will choose Pooja's, because she is my love"
"Me?" I asked, holding back tears.
"You are my friend", he told with a smile and took Pooja's cake

"NO!" I got up, with tears rolling down my cheeks
"It was a dream"
Keerthi came running in,
"Lily what happened?"
"A bad dream"
I told her what happened
"You should ask him then, whether he has a girlfriend or not"
"Really, what if he has?"
"Nothing is going to change Lily, just ask, if he doesn't," Keerthi told with a smirk, "tell him your love"
"What? No!
"Why?"
"Just now we met"
"So what, maybe this is the reason you've met him after all these years"
"But what if he doesn't even want me as his friend"
"That's bullshit, if he doesn't have a girlfriend there is no way he will tell no to you, just think about it Lily"
I took a deep breath
"What should I tell?"
"I love you" she told with a wink
Just Rahul and those words put together, is making me dizzy
"You will tell right'
"Guess so" I replied
Keerthi eyes lit up
"Wait!! Are you agreeing?"
