Two months passed by and his mind was constantly glimmering with the thought of the girl.

During those two months, Xavier had only broken his sobriety once, so he was pretty proud of himself. He had dedicated his focus on work and staying clean.

He was starting to design more and more tattoos and earning more loyal customers so he felt like he was in a stable position.

The memories and thoughts of Jelani were his rehabilitation, the motivation to not want to stuff himself with pills and alcohol.

He let his next client in, tired and so fucked up from the day. He opened the door and threw his used pair of black latex gloves in the bin before opening the door where a blondie and a curly haired woman sat.

His eyes immediately drifted to the black girl that sat on her phone completely ignoring my opening door. She was beautiful, her thick brown thighs were folded, they were glossy and immediately caught his attention. His eyes moved up to her black booty shorts then up to her cropped lime shirt. She had an NY cap on her head, blocking him from seeing any more.

The blondie drunkenly smirked at him, causing him to mentally roll my eyes

He was used to drunkies coming and recklessly getting tattoos. He wanted the girl - the one with the nice thighs - to look up at him. She reminded him a lot of the girl that night.

He cleared his throat. "C'mon in girls," he said. Finally the black girl looked up at him and he was shocked to see that she had gleaming green eyes that complmented her skin so vibrantly. He saw her mutter something underneath her breath that he couldn't pick up easily.

Jelani.

The girl from that night. And Xavier's stupid mentality pretended not to know her.

Fuck feelings, He repeated. Now that he'd seen her, it was time to move on to something mew. He couldn't catch feelings for someone that he only saw once.

That wasn't him.

They both followed behind him, pretending that he couldn't hear their whispers behind him. The blondie sat down opposite from the lay out chair. The black girl gently sat down on the spread,

She was getting a tattoo.

She scoffed uncontrollably and awkwardly rubbed her arms. Xav looked her in the eyes and asked what design she wanted to get. "Well..." Jelani nervously spoke, her voice was sweet and innocent. "Could I get something small?" She asked.
