Dan had yet to get through to either Serena or Rosie, both weren't answering their phones.

"Hey Rose. I don't know what's going on right now but I am officially worried. Call me back please." He closed his phone and walked out of his room, Rufus was working on a song.

"Hey, do you think 'track me down' should come before or after 'overtime'?" Rufus questioned

"Is the rolling stone thing tonight?"

"Yeah, I guess I really am one of the top 10 forgotten bands of the 90s" Rufus joked to his son

"It's true, I forgot." Dan jested

"Yeah but a lot of people remembered. There is a reason that issue was one of the highest selling of the year."

"Then I'm proud Dad, really I am. You got the follow up article and a concert, surely followed by an over priced CD sold at coffeehouses for Gen Xers with out taste buds or taste." they continued to one lightly

"Hey, it's gonna be cool. They're even filming it for VH" Rufus defended

"VH1 Classic, the classic is important." Dan reminded him

"I'm classic." Rufus muttered but there was no comeback

"Uh-oh no retort, signs of a sleepless night. Disinterest of making you father feel old and irrelevant it can only mean one thing. Girl trouble, who is it. Serena or Rose."

"Both. Serena and I we had a fight last night. This new kind that we keep on having. Where she says something and I know it's not the whole truth." he explained

"Well have you asked her what's on her mind?"

"Only about 10,000 times."

"But did you really mean it? most times when people don't offer the truth, they're afraid of what someone might think. I don't know if you know this but you can be a pretty judgmental guy." he replied lowering his guitar.

"So your suggesting that I learn to be someone else around her so she can be herself around me?" Dan questioned

"Couldn't said it better myself. Now Rose?" Rufus changed the topic and Dan's demeanour changed.

"Well everything was fine yesterday, we hung out but then Serena had a conversation with her the next thing I know she packs up her things and walks right past us without saying a word." Rufus scowled seeing the reason for his son's concern

"Now that is strange."

"i know. In the short time I've known her she always makes some witty or remarks about leaving and says goodbye. But she left in the middle of her shift and hasn't returned any of my calls or texts." Dan continued fidgeting with his phone.

"Have you spoken to anyone else like Arissa?" Rufus wondered

"Arissa isn't answering either. I tried Nate last night who reluctantly called Chuck, but Chuck told him to mind his own business. She did leave a note about some mini break. But in true Rose fashion there is no annoying step by step update or warning that she's switching her phone off." Dan ran his hand through his hair.
