I was taking my daily long walk when I saw a familiar face crossing the road.

"Dan! hey!" He glanced over

"Rose, Hey." We stopped "Oh Rose this is my Dad, Rufas. Dad this is Rose Bass the girl we helped yesterday." We shook hands

"Nice to actually meet you. While I'm fully conscious." I smiled

"You too. I hope your feeling better."

"Much. Yeah. I have a lot of things going on and what happened yesterday is a lets say side effect. So we live in the same building. Small world."  I made small talk with them.

"I'll leave you too it. I'm going to hang the rest of these up." Mr Humphrey left

"Yeah. though I never thought you would be seen over the bridge..." he stopped "that didn't mean to come out as harsh as i did. I'm sorry."

"No, it's fine. I get it but I needed to be away yet not to far I actually like my school and I wanted to stay somewhat close to my brother. I'm sorry for him by the way. He's... He's Chuck." Dan snorted

"Yeah I got that." i giggled slightly. his phone went off he took it out of his pocket and looked at it.

"Sorry. I gotta go. Brother duties."

"That's fine. I will see you at school." we parted ways and I made my way back home. After a long haul up the stairs I made it through my door.

"Who needs a walk when those stairs are enough." I joked dropping my empty coffee cup in the bin. Arissa chuckled as she made dinner. My phone went off.

Ugh whatever. I took out my homework and finished it off. I then went to sit out on the stairwell for some quite reading while Arissa was singing in the kitchen.

"Oh hey, again." I looked up

"Hey, brother duties go okay?" I wondered bookmarking my place and closing my book, giving him my attention.

"Yeah apparently I'm on call for a fashion emergency." he shrugged leaning against the wall. I laughed

"Brothers and fashion. Never work well. Trust me. But it worked out?"

"Yeah. I guess so." he shrugged

"Rose, food is ready." Arissa called

"OK!" I stood up "Do you know where is good to get coffee around here?" he cleared his throat.

"Yeah." he nodded in confirmation.

"Well knock sometime and you can guide me there. That's if you're not busy." I suggest
