The Fence

I leapt, and jumped, and twisted and slid, and paused, and before the light could settle, ran, and scissored my legs and rolled and jumped into a slide to get to the girl. I looked at her for aproval, but she was already climbing the Fence.

I followed. It was funny how she could do everything else, but was such a slow climber... I climbed the Fence with ease, and sat at the top waiting. She swung her leg over and we both let ourselfs fall to the ground.

The whole escape had been easier than I'd thought, but I wouldn't have made it without some help.

We had regained our breath, and again, ran.
