The past sometimes is something you want to leave behind, to never look back at. It's something you want to bury deep in the crevices of your mind. Unfortunately, It's a shadow always lurking, waiting for you to be vulnerable for it to make its comeback. Memories waiting to drown you deep with no chance of resurfacing, because the past can sometimes be something so horrible you'd rather forget it than relive it. But sometimes the past keeps coming back to haunt you. To remind you that you'll never be free from it. All you can do is keep going with the hope that the past won't repeat itself. That your future will be different. And then sometimes you have to make that happen. But sometimes you have to relive the past in order to escape from its tight grip. Aurora Rodriguez or most recently Meredith Hernandez has had to endure the most atrocious of things that she'd rather forget. She's hiding from a horrible past. A past that seems to control who she is now. She's free, but for how long? She doesn't know. Fear drives her life now and it all feels like she's just enduring the worst of eternities.
