While mapping the unexplored sections of the Great Wall for his father, a 16 year old boy discovered an ancient temple covered in characters so ancient that he couldn't interpret them. They say curiosity killed the cat, but Gen ventured inside anyway. The temple was built into the side of the Great Wall, and his father wanted every inch of the Great Wall mapped. He knew this would take many years to complete, how he hated his son so. Gen mapped it until it became very narrow until he couldn't lift his arm to paint the parchment. (This is modern-day China, but this paint doesn't rub off and smear as a regular pencil would if it got wet.) Then the narrow passage led into a huge chamber, that could only be below the wall... For it looked as wider than the Great Wall itself. There was a single casket wrapped in jade in the center. Yet again, Gen's curiosity got the better of him and he opened it. Inside lay a women with stunningly beautiful pale orange hair. Her skin was eggshell white. He was paralyzed by her beauty, until her eyes opened, and revealed a beautiful seaweed green color. He screamed and leapt back, as she sat up in her coffin. He had been studying how to read ones aura, and hers was of a goddesses beauty. There was one problem with this goddess though. She couldn't speak or read modern Chinese. Her brain was hardwired for the most popular language in a certain period of time. This goddess could read ancient Chinese that wasn't spoken anymore, for that was the language she had grown accustomed to before her long slumber, but this time... She awakened with the hardwiring for English. ---- In this story Gen's thoughts will be in English for I do not feel like translating his thoughts into English as well as his speaking. You will find out the titles meaning in the novel, so don't fret.
