Responsible for a gang of miscreant thieves, seventeen-year-old Thomas Wells is no stranger to the seedy underbelly of Victorian London. Having spent most of his younger years on the run, he's seen the worst the city has to offer and tries to shield his newfound family from the dangers the streets hold. When the body of twelve-year-old Jack Lorris is discovered in the river Thames, a fire ignites inside Thomas to find out what really happened to the boy he called a brother. But, as the bodies of other children are uncovered across the city, he realises that someone is targeting London's poorer population. With the lives of his friends resting on his shoulders, Thomas is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure their safety. (C)Spruce_Goose
